I don't think it is :p
Well I thought I hit edit but Ive had 2.5 litres of cheap German Beer and a few scotchs too so maybe I did reply to myself.
I don't think it is :p
What a silly reaction.
Let's face it, whatever stance that has been formed on Ben Hunt was made well before this game. Most likely during the pre-season when he signed on with St George after an incredibly patchy season with the Broncos.
It was a typical Ben Hunt performance. A couple of quality plays, a couple of nothing plays and just long spurts wondering why he isn't taking more control of the team. It wasn't a new low and there was no lack of effort on the field, he simply isn't good enough unless the forward pack is on top and he can take it to the line.
Now a lot can happen moving forward and the right option maybe to drop him, but he deserves the rest of the Origin period to prove himself. If Ben Hunt can find form, it gives Brisbane the best shot of winning a premiership in 2017. If not, then it's time to get a head-start on 2018.
While there's issues in Ben Hunt's game, I feel he cops a lot of blame that should be directed at other members of the side and on staff as well.
@CaptainHook - Sure, but when he's on song he's one of the most potent halves in the game.
I thought the OP was ridiculous, to accuse Hunt of phoning in his performances smells of sour grapes and really doesn't add anything when discussing Hunt's positives and negatives as a player.
At what point do we start shining the light on him?
The situation is very clear to me.
Bennett should give Hunt the next three games and make his assessment then and there.
What a silly reaction.

Hit the nail on the head in one of your points @Big Pete
Forward pack going backwards/not winning the ruck = Hunt/Milf/Most halves being ineffective
Forward pack on the front foot and winning the ruck = Hunt/Milf/Most halves on fire
Our problem lies in our tempo and speed around the ruck. We lose almost every single play the ball.
How do we rectify that in your opinion?
