Personally I would like to see one of the Nikorima brothers get a crack at 7. Kodi did very well there for the Kiwis.

I'm not saying we should move Boyd, but considering Kahu is also a test fullback there is a chance it could happen.

im disappointed but not surprised... And I'm also not too stressed because I'm not convinced Hunt was going to be the player that a lot thought he was... Junior star, rep player... Yes.. But I've had a feeling for a long time that we have seen his best and that his best was now behind him. I don't think we've even scratched the surface on Milford yet and I think that playing beside a similar half is somewhat slowing down his progression. It'll be interesting to see this season if Hunts game management improves along with his ability to stay in the game for 80 minutes, if he does improve I'll be bleeding... If not, right decision. I'm trusting mr Eastwood has a plan.

Sorry for sounding like a broken record but I have every faith that we'll see Ash Taylor back in Broncos colours. Regional Queensland blokes are strong in their convictions and have a fierce sense of loyalty. If a mentor shows faith and then does the right thing by your best interests, you're forever in debt (in a positive way). Add to that the Broncos are gods to regional supporters (which Ash is) and there's zero chance that he won't return if and when there is a reasonable opportunity.

I can't quite work out how this will happen without a couple of lean years for us as the inherent strength of character will tie him to repaying the titans, but I do have faith that the Coast will find a way to **** up again, at which time Bennett will open his arms, once again.

What Bennett did by releasing him (in Ash' best interests) was incredibly brave, but let's not forget who calculating Wayne is.

I don't dislike Hunt, I'm merely frustrated by his lack of character (not his skill). He has proven it once again with his departure and Bennett has surely engineered this in a softly, softly approach.

This gives me much needed confidence in my team that we're willing to make the extremely tough decisions once again. Love ya work Wayne! All the best to Hunt and I sincerely hope he hits his best again.

I wouldn't say lean years.. players are released from the final year of their contact every other week now. We'd only need to go this year without him really in which we still have Hunt.

I tend to agree. Though I'm not convinced that we'll play Hunt all year. He'll get first crack and when his foot eases off the throttle, he'll be back to ISC. We need to look at our young guys and forego this season's aspiration if that happens. Until then, were still a chance.

1) a flith kicking game - like a repeat set every 2 sets

2) to set up heaps of tries from kicks

4) be willing to play for 400 - 600 k per year....

wow, that list really reinforces for me that we're quite shit at developing halves. Apart from a couple of all time greats coming through the club, the next tier down has been really pretty ordinary... maybe we need to fix that up as a long term strategy while we're dealing with finding a replacement for hunt.

I've criticised him as much as anyone, if not more, but that doesn't equal hatred. I was only so critical of him because I genuinely believed he was going to be our version of Langer, especially after how he played during the 2015 regular season. But he shit the bed big time in the 2015 finals, and regressed during 2016. If he was the same age as Milford I could've forgiven him & would be devastated about losing him, but he's had so many years to improve in the areas we're critical of, so many chances to prove he can be a consistent Halfback and simply put, he hasn't (enough), time's up. Next man up.

It's always tough when a club loses a half back so I'm expecting a rebuilding period in 2018 unless we sign or unearth some great half back. Hopefully hunt goes out with a bang this year and wins a grand final. I feel as though he'll fade out his career at the dragons.

The Luke Brooks comment was a joke because people seem to think he's good and they're wrong because he's shit.

Also I guess I'll say it again, the modern use of the word hater fits the way you have acted over the last 12 months. By talking shit and making every thread about him, you fit the description of what the word hater means in 2017. You know the whole being a hater phrase all the kids are talking about. Doesn't necessarily mean you hate him but that you're being a Ben Hunt hater.
