If Hunt Leaves...

Fullback is not just attacking position.......Bennett took a risk on Hodges' lack of urgency for the benefit of broken field running. It paid off.

True. Much like Australia and Queensland take risk on Slater's rare brain explosions for the benefits of flair and line breaking ability. It paid....correction....is still paying off.

not in the world cup final [icon_razz1

Hodges is too dumb to play fullback.
Centre is his position but h needs to refocus. He is a bit like Andrew Symonds at the moment.
Maybe they are both past the need to prove themselves, so it could be a continued decline for them both.
Hunt is the obvious fullback, simple because he has some ball playing ability at 2nd receiver - the modern role of the fullback.
Hodges has nil in this regard.
A smart operator might play Hodges at full back in defence when there will be a clearance kick on the last. In all attacking plays inside the oppposition half, Hunt should be at fullback ( a second second receiver ).

I remember the much maligned Strapping Big lad ( whatever happened to that guy?) used to carry on years ago about how positions are no longer relevant. The dinosaurs on the forum at the time weren't on his wavelength and didn't understandwhat he was on about. - I noticed Gus Gould picked up on this a couple of weeks back.

Hodges has his position depending on field position and so does Hunt.

Is it just me, or does K look to be enjoying himself on the field now more than ever?

Definitely just you, K used to be a lot more lively on the field IMO.

I recon ur right nashy. Have been watching him and he looks excited. he was very upbeat about all the tries against the chooks last night.

Pity he's not so up beat when a player makes a break. He's pathetic in those situations. Nobody expects him to sit them on their arse, but get a hold of them, slow them down enough for cover to help. His miss on myth last night was one of the most pathetic attempts at tackle i've seen in all my time watching league.

Lol.

Seemed to do alright the few games before last night in those situations.

You can't expect him to be a hinderance to the attacking player 100% of the time.

Yeh that tackle on him when he was about to score in the corner was pretty good. icon_smile

HAHAHAHAHA! Football fail.

He showed Soward the sideline and Soward BURNT him. Soward would've scored if he didn't fling it inside like he did.

Did Soward score?

No.

FACT.

ning doesn't give it up easily...that's a change from other youth these days.

LOLZ, it's ok ning you and Rock can keep jizzing over Hunt while the rest of us can recognise that there is something seriously wrong in his head this season. He needs to sort it out and start playing to his potential like we've seen.

Haha ok.

Yes, Hunt is not playing in the best form of his life so there is definitely something wrong with him.

Save him Dr. Zaius!!!!

Nah, but it's little things where you can tell someone's not on their game - and positional play in defence, and the way a fullback approaches those break situations is a good indicator. He's been really poor in both departments most of this season.

I have it on good authority Hunt will score three tries and set up 6 next game.
