under current rules he can't play for England, because of the tier 1 bullshit.
as soon as you play origin the only tier 1 nation you can play for is Australia.
As I said bullshit, the tier system should be thrown out it doesn't serve a purpose outside hurting the game.

I think we are on a technicality though because he hasn't played for Qld for years and only played for Aus in the 9s. I think if Aus clear him, he can play for England. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

nah at current origin comes under the same rules, because England is a tier 1 he can't play for them.

the tier system in general has to be abolished.
RL is way too small time internationally to bring these restrictions and it's hurting the best growth period the game has ever seen on the international front.

you get rid of the tier 1 bs and suddenly alot of players are available for NZ and England making them more competitive with no punishment for playing for them.
England could suddenly have a halves pairing of Sam Walker and Bevan French and that could atleast rattle NZ and Aus on a good day.

The fact that eligibility rules are bought up every time means we are still getting it ****in wrong.
Why can't we just remove origin from International eligibility completely? Or, if that's not well liked, back to basics, where did you play your junior football? Ok that's where you are from, end of discussion, don't like it? Cry about it.

Get rid of tiers and go with time frames. Like if you choose Aus now, you can’t play for anyone else for five years. Get rid of it for world cups.

Australia could allow every country everything and they would still have the best team every time.
The quality difference is soo much it's hard as an aussie to even go for them because I feel bad for everyone else, that's how much work the international game needs.

I hope French joins England squad this year, because lets be real he will never make the Aussie side, if he is in England with the way he plays he gives them a shot against a team like us with his ad lib play, he has been mega this year from what I have seen going by the last year, he is the key for most of Wigans attack this year and no one in SL has an answer for it.
