International rugby league

So Samoa will look something like:

1. Hammer
2. Tuivasa-Sheck
3. Tago
4. Crichton
5. To'o
6. Talagi
7. Luai
8. May
9. Clark
10. Haas
11. Blore
12. Nanai
13. Tino

14. Tevaga
15. Papalii
16. Paulo
17. Leniu

Strong side, hopefully they can improve their 7, 9 and 14 at some point.

Haas has defected to Samoa. Hammer and Tino expected to do the same. No way they can still be considered a tier two nation anymore. All the tier one rule does now is disadvantage English and NZ-only eligible players.
Tiering has nothing to do with the quality of their starting 17... it's about the grassroots, infrastructure, local comps, etc. that are setup in Samoa.

Them and Tonga have none of that setup so they will forever be tier 2.

The guys doing it now are based on the grandparents rule... so dont get used to it, because theyll be back to nothing within a couple generations when the grandparents are born and bred in Aus as well.

PNG are probably a better chance of being Tier 1 before Tonga or Samoa

I'm not a fan of these blokes jumping from nation to nation. Once you make a choice, you should be made to stick with it. If it was that culturally important for them to represent their families heritage, they would have made the choice at the start of their international football journeys. I think its pathetic.

Australia will have no reps for origin soon… it’s why I don’t like only including nz and eng in the no origin play group.

So Australia suddenly doesn’t look anywhere near as strong and I think while it lowers the level of Aus, it makes the international scene more unpredictable which is great.

Australia:
1. Edwards
2. Lomax
3. Mitchell
4. Turbo
5. Coates
6. Munster
7. Moses
8. Collins
9. Grant
10. Carrigan
11. Young
12. Martin
13. Yeo

14. Dearden
15. Smith
16. King
17. Mann

No doubt I’m forgetting a few but that forward pack is not the greatest. Australia’s spine though is still a mile better than everyone else’s.

My point above…..

A forward pack with no islanders is a rough spot to be in for any team lol

State of origins eligibility should just be this:

1. Were you living in Australia before turning 13?
2. If yes to the above, which state did you live in the longest before turning 13?
3. Which state were you born in?

You must answer Yes to question 1

If answers to 2 and 3 are different, you must select an elegance after first NRL game

If you answered a state other than NSW or QLD for question 2, you must play for your birth state if applicable. If not born in either state - too bad.

International eligibility is completely unrelated.

No Cotter in that team, but he'd be in the 17 for sure

I wouldnt be surprised if Yeo pulls out.

That shoulder injury he picked up looked fuuuuucked.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up needing surgery.

Cam Murray apparently firming to return this year... I'm taking him if I'm Kevvie, because the forward pack has been decimated.

CONEHEAD approved to go with Kev.
What a piss take.

Roos side I would go with(as of first week of finals).

1. Walsh
2. Lomax
3. Mitchell
4. Hammer
5. Coates
6. Munster
7. Moses
8. Collins
9. Grant
10. Carrigan
11. Crichton
12. Martin
13. Yeo

14. Walters
15. Young
16. Cotter
17. Kolomantangi

Hammer also out... MCL injury in the last round of the year.

I'd say Yeo could pull out too, because I'd imagine that shoulder needs surgery.

Tino Fa’asuamaleaui has committed to representing Australia instead of Samoa

Sucky thing about all the internationals being at the end of the season it's weakened teams.

I think Staggs makes centre again for sure now, Shiba might even make the team probably in the extended.

Karipani 100% has to make the Kiwis team what a player he has been this year, his footwork is like RTS at his peak it's crazy how much agility he has.
