"Luring" any player with the promise of extra money via TPAs would be nrl-illegal.
More money is very rarely given as a reason a player came to a club, although it is almost always the reason.

No it wouldn’t. Just has to be on the cap. But the article didn’t suggest that at all.

It said he was lured to Brisbane with big money- true.

Then spoke about how Richardson/Rich Digital and Gillis are working hard to get him extra deals. That would be off the cap if they’re doing it- great news.
 
And it’s been a good while since we ‘lured’ a big name signing from Sydney. So, we should be pulling out all the stops to make him as rich as can be so that the next time we go to the Sydney market the players look at how well off Adam ended up and will be tugging at the bit to sign up. It’s a win win for both parties.

my point wasn't that we are doing anything wrong ... or that anything dodgy is happening with his agent. just that the click bait aimed at Broncos fans is starting to change to the click bait aimed at our haters.

p.s. a player agent getting his client TPA's rarely gets mentioned by the media, unless there is some sort of impropriety also happening with the deal.

It is newsworthy because he’s the Broncos biggest signing in a while and come from Sydney.

Showing the commercial value of a player in a new city isn’t new.

Richardson would be spruiking his business and his son.
 
Yeah we gave him 3 years and the Rabbitohs only offered 1 that's why he joined our club.
He will get good TPAs in Brisbane because he isn't a complete fucking tool, will be a leader of the club and is someone the kids can look up to. We have lacked a genuine star spine player for a number of years and we finally have one so its no wonder why the corporates will be wanting to get a hold of him.
 
Yeah. Shows the rest of the NRL if you're not a fuckwit and have some personality, you can make serious coin in Brisbane. Other players will take note hopefully.

shane Richardson is the brother of pro plasters boss Perry, huge rabbitohs fan so that one would've been an easy get.

Teddy would go alright. He would attract massive TPA’s. Very marketable and would plug a spine spot nicely.

His ‘Squid Game’ comment would land him in a lot more strife if he played for the Broncos.

Staggs got a 2 week suspension that he had to serve after he was cleared fit (if memory serves me correctly) for a drunken homophobic slur whilst Roosters and NSW captain Tedesco only got a $10k fine for a drunken racial slur.

Go figure.
