He's got a nice jawline up until the chin. Make it a 3-5cm longer and he can be captain.
General, more like it.He's got a nice jawline up until the chin. Make it a 3-5cm longer and he can be captain.
If he is chaste, I'd say it is because of his haircut. That is legit the haircut of a chaste monk. I'm in.
I’m not calling it a shit game. But the whole reason for him being jizzed over on this forum was because he was this player who had “spark”. I don’t see too much spark. He’s played what 5 games this season? I doubt he’s run 10 times all season.Sigh... yes.... he had a shit game. So did 14 other blokes.
We'll - you'd be wrong to doubt he's run 10 times all season because he has. Exactly 10 times lol.I’m not calling it a shit game. Yes - he's played 5 games, having a broken leg does impact the number of games you can play.
The reason people like him is that he has shown he has more in his kit than slow service out of DH, he regularly gets forwards moving onto the ball at pace helping them go over the advantage line and hits them right in the breadbasket *generally*.
I agree he's not the best hooker in the game. Doubt he would even be top 8. But Macca, nice dude, but was slow and predictable. If you ignore this post-covid nonsense the Broncos are producing - we had a 57% win rate with him in the team for the last few years. He actually threatened the line, he was capable of a dart of our DH - which had defenders actually paying close attention to him - a drastic change on Macca who everyone ignored. Heck, it took him 50 meters to run down Wallace, need we be reminded? Just google "slowest footrace in the NRL"
So Macca’s “slow” service is because of him, but Turpin’s is because of the coach? That’ll do me.Jake made more tackles per minute than any other player on the field last night. 49 in 65 minutes. Haas made 50 in 80 minutes. Fifita made 20 in 80 minutes.
It's true he didn't run the ball enough, and he slowed service because of the wet weather. In contrast to last week. Probably because he was following Pies' orders. If anyone is under instruction from the coach, it's the dummy half. Blame Pies for our attack.
No, Macca's slow service is his standard service. He doesn't have any other style. So Macca’s “slow” service is because of him, but Turpin’s is because of the coach? That’ll do me.

We saw Turpin's standard service last week when he returned from injury. If he did that in wet conditions, I doubt the balls would've stuck. I'm not sure whether he was directed to tone it down by the coach, but I've seen no evidence of Pies coaching his players to shift the ball quickly the way Turpin, Paix and Dearden seem to be champing at the bit to do it.
I don't have a problem with his service last night. In fact, I think Macca would've been fine under those conditions. The question is why he wasn't running the ball. I'm blaming the coach - on a hunch - for that.
