He's had a decent year but I wouldn't say he's a player of a quality that's worth crying over. If anything, this along with Thaiday being kicked into retirement is a good source of motivation for our young forwards to perform. There are many spots in our front row and bench that are a good chance of freeing up.

No big loss imo, he's solid, but so are most bench props in the NRL. Hopefully we sign a couple more young guys.

This deserves its own thread, imo. I'm interested in observing BHQ's response to this departure, because I feel personally like Wallace is stuck in that grey area between "journeyman prop" and "mainstay in the squad". Obviously he has been regularly selected for a while now so he is closer to mainstay than journeyman, but for some reason I don't find myself too upset about him leaving.

If Wallace is gone next year. So the bench for next year gone be very young and inexperienced. I hope not broncos gone use left money for Inglis.

Yeah not to mention that we got Eden, Timu, Greinke off our books (Presumably all on close to nothing), that'll free up some spots in our top 25 for next season.

I think we also finally stop paying Barba next season right?

The reds are really scraping the barrel if that's true. That rumour has been going all year and I can't see much for him here next year.

I'm not bothered about Wallace leaving. I think the forwards we have debuted this year have shown more than Wallace did at this stage of their careers. The end of this season and the finals will give us a fair indication on the calibre and experience of forwards we will need. Blair has another year of good footy in him and Boyce could come in handy also. Good luck to Wallace if he does go!!

Let's also not forget that Reed is still rumoured to be given the arse to Super League, we should have a decent chunk of cap space ready for 2017 if all of these things eventuate.

The Courier mail is reporting that Wallace was was offered 200k more a season at the Titans than the Broncos

If that's the case we'd be very wise not to match the offer. We could probably just pick up someone like Korbin Sims for that price.

Wallace is a bigger loss than some of you are giving him credit for but I am a fan of Fai so am keen to see him get a shot or as suggested, bring in Sims...and Gagai.
