He'll turn into a gun in 21 because he has a point to prove is under a coach who won't accept mediocrity.

I don't see him being a gun, but if Madge is half the Coach he's believed to be then he'll get Joe immediately back to doing what he's shown he can do really well in the past, namely coming off the Bench and playing the middle 45-50 minutes of the game either side of half time.

Even at Origin level he looked good in that role, he just happens to suck at nearly every other role but if they leave him doing exactly that job then they'll likely get quite a good return out of their investment. He might even be able to fight his way back into the Maroons setup if he sticks to that role.
