RUMOUR Jordan Rapana to sign

Hey gang, I don't believe it, but for the first time ever since I signed up to BHQ, I have some insider info!

Word is we are signing Jordan Rapana on a one year deal - it's pretty much all done and locked in. I've been told it's for a couple of reasons - he's keen to move back to Queensland (I think he was at the Gold Coast before Canberra?) and we're going to give him a run at fullback. Not sure if this will impact rumoured signings of Croft or Sezer, or how we're fitting it under the cap. Just passing on the info!

The source is very reliable - someone I've known for nearly a decade who's involved in the NRL, and an absolute top bloke.

Rate him very highly and I think he's absolutely miles ahead of any other fullback option we have, or wing for that matter.

He's only 31 next year has at least 2 years in him so I hope this eventuates.

I get why people are sweating on locking him up before November, but he’s still contracted for next season. We’re not going to lose him for next year

we are likely negotiating with his manager as we speak ... but getting our roster set for next year is of greater priority

I love how Rapana goes about his footy, not sure if he is our answer at fullback but I would be very happy to have him.

I don't think he's a Fullback, Canberra would agree, considering they bought an untested Fullback that was unwanted at the Warriors to play Fullback ahead of him this year, despite having a few handy replacements for him on the Wing.

Happily have him on the right wing though!
