Do you want the Brisbane Broncos to make a play for Josh Dugan?

Re: The big Dugan discussion

etc.??? Come on Chris.. what sort of exclusive is that?

Re: The big Dugan discussion

I don't know which Reynolds that is but either way I don't think they are the answer.

Thurston is signed up and frankly I don't think any player is left that can really fix our needs.
I disagree, I think someone like Carney or Adam Reynolds (which is who they'd be referring to) is exactly the kind player we're missing.

I would be ecstatic with either

Re: The big Dugan discussion

As would I. Carney is awesome in most aspects and in any case way, way above what ever half we have at the club right now and I'd say he's only going to get better.

Reynolds is 22, has arguably the best short kicking game in the comp and will only get better.

Re: The big Dugan discussion

Reynolds would virtually be Wallace 2.0

Carney is more like it but I question his poise in the big games.

I'd much rather try and unearth a good up and comer than just buy the best available half in the competition.

Re: The big Dugan discussion

Adam Reynolds is signed until the end of 2015
Josh Reynolds is off contract this year and I cannot see the Bulldogs letting him go same goes for Todd Carney
best bet is a promising halfback

Re: The big Dugan discussion

Well a promising up and comer shouldn't be expensive, so why not both?
Carney and a good rising half, get on it Gee.

I don't know if I'd want J Reynolds, he's ok but I don't think he's what we need. Certainly not an open the cheque book type player.

Re: The big Dugan discussion

etc? Journo math, Broncos lost a playmaker = Broncos need a playmaker. WOW!

Re: The big Dugan discussion

Imagine if we got Carney AND Dugan. We'd lead the league in sleeve tattoos.

1. Dugan
2. Yow Yeh
3. Hoffman
4. Hodges
5. Copley
6. Carney
7. Wallace

That's a lethal backline.

Re: The big Dugan discussion

I doubt we're signing Carney on anything less than 600K or so.

For his kind of pay packet and reputation, no thanks.

Re: The big Dugan discussion

That's pretty much market value for a good half. Thurston is on over a million, I'd say Carney is worth half that.

The big Dugan discussion

But we already have Macca and Hunt at hooker, so no need for another one.

Re: The big Dugan discussion

The club has standards ffs! You lot would have us recruiting from Wacol.

Re: The big Dugan discussion

carney is worth the money imo. outstanding player. give him 800k a year. he hasnt had any troubles for a few years, think he's grown up to be honest.

i really dont think he cares THAT much about the sharks. sure he wants to stay but so do most.

That's the bare minimum.

More likely 800K-$1 Million.

No way is he worth bringing in as our most expensive buy.

Short term fixes like that won't result in the success we want.
