Josh Hoffman Appreciation Thread

This time last year he was playing QLD Cup while Corey Norman won the MOM against the cow manure.
Fast forward a year... he is in now top 3 fullbacks in the comp

1. Slater
2. Hayne
3. Hoffman/Dugan/Boyd

He is probably the safest fullback in the comp along with Boyd.
Everytime the opposition makes a line break, I never worry as Hoffman will always make the try saving tackle.
Now if only the team had a decent 7 and 9, he would rip it up in attack as well.

Any of the listed is ahead of Hayne and I would add Stewart and Bowen to that list too. Hayne's attack is good, granted... But his defense is absolutely woeful!

Well Stewart and Bowen have fallen off the radar because of injury. And and if last night is anything to go by, Bowens just finding his groove again and when he does it will be awesome to watch. Stewart is different, he plays for Manly and naturally must be shit :)

His best game for over a couple of years. Granted he has been injured.
Brett Stewart, likewise.
I still have Hayne over these guys, he is a class act. He still played well towards the end of last year, just a slow start.

I don't think Hoffman is in the top 3 yet but I wouldn't swap him for anyone. He was brilliant in defence last night. He has so much potential and I know it is a big call but I am tipping him to be in the top 3 soon enough.

yeah but you go out of your way to rate opposition players ahead of Broncos. Dugan certainly ahead of Hoffman at this stage but Coote wouldn't be any better than Hoffman IMO.

But are both behind Dugan.

Slater, Hayne, Boyd, Dugan, Coote and Bowen are all ahead of Hoffman atm IMO.

Bowen at his peak is better than Hoffman now. Bowen isn't as good as Hoffman at the moment. He might improve but he won't be back to his peak.

Hoffman was a star last night. Kept us in the game when we didn't really deserve to be. His confidence should be sky high after that performance.
