If he doesn't play we'll obviously just move Kahu to right centre and Maranta to right wing. But with that being said, I really hope he gets his fairy tale finish, he deserves it.
I think the only way for Hodges to get the all clear from the judiciary is if Guerra can testify in favour of Hodges. Guerra might admit that he hopped and contributed to the outcome of the tackle.
SBW asked Willie Mason for a similar favour on Twitter after their semis. SBW was cleared by the judiciary to play in the finals.
He's had bugger all game time this year, and has struggled when he's been in the 17. Plus he's arguably got a weaker game at wing than Lachlan currently. He needs a strong injury free pre season and hopefully he can jag a centre spot next year.
Maranta would slot in just fine outside Kahu. He's done just fine when given the opportunity this year.
Hope this is all a moot point though, with Hodges taking his rightful place in the big dance.
I hope they go Copley at centre if Hodges is out. Risk with him though is not as much ability as his record of getting through 80mins unscathed this year. Maranta would def be a safe option and wouldn't let anyone down.
I've seen the replay a fair few times now, Hodgo will play. Guerra clearly jumped to milk a penalty. There is that plus Hunt underneath means other contributing factors lead to Guerra ending upside down. If Pritchard can get off which I think was the right decision Hodges will be fine.
Guerra has said in the media there's nothing in it.
I reckon they'll charge Hodgo but hopefully Guerra can give evidence and say the right things. Can opposing players still give evidence these days?
