Christian Hazard then?
I think we need to verify which version is correct, because some say that the Cows offered him a contract which he rejected, others say they did not.Even if it is to cover a Boyd retirement, it’s Kahu and he was just as bad last year. The fucking Cowboys didn’t even want him. How can you spin it that it’s a good thing that we are going to have a player that the Cowboys didn’t even want?
I would say the only reasoning we let him go to the cows was in the hope he would be able to secure a deal for 2020.Is there any confirmation of how much we were paying while he was at the cows?
The part that pisses me off was the negotiated deal. Who in their right mind gives a player the option to return if they cant make it with another team following their season?! Out of any player who has been injury prone, it would unfortunate for Kahu - and it has, that his shoulder has effectively ended his time at the cows but legally can come walking back to us.
**** me. Someone potato at HQ doesnt know how to negotiate business. Another busted player to repair before pre season. Just as we were getting ontop of things we are obligated with another 400k. It would be a sick turn of events if this costs us Fifi or a half.
You lost me at the things we know. He isn’t good enough to play for us anymore. He’s not better than Boyd in any backline position and he’s eating up salary cap that we desperately need. Farnworth, Coates and Perese have the backline covered if injuries occur. We don’t need Jordan Kahu to cover any position.Ok guys.... Let's stop and think for a minute......
Things we know:
Kahu is on our roster again for 2020.
Things we don't know:
1. We can't be sure how much we were paying for his contract to play at the cowboys, so if it was even anything, I'd argue we're better off paying the extra 200k to have him play for us instead of them, especially given no more Boyd - this can only be a good thing to keep him out of the team.
2. Don't know if he was offered a contract there (cows) for sure or not.
3. If this signing means Boyd will retire tomorrow
4. If we're actually out of pocket at all from the Gillett money as stated before by @Foordy
5. Who signed off on this deal and if it's mostly because of his original contract terms as to why we had to take him back - sounds like it is more this and not a new contract
Yet@Marty Deutschmann You will get answers to none of those questions. The media aren't even talking about this.
Typical seeing what you wanna see to fit your narrative... Just saying we may not of had a choice in this after his initial releaseYou lost me at the things we know. That's all far too logical for this board.
I think everyone will go with angry mob instead
Your narrative doesn’t sound any better than mine, mate. Either way we are losing here. And what’s worse is we are getting bent over by the CowboysTypical seeing what you wanna see to fit your narrative... Just saying we may not of had a choice in this after his initial release
