Having been involved with the club, yes I can safely say I know more about him personally than a lot of people here.

I think Hodges is a marvellous player.

One of the most devastating centres in the game. Love the passion he shows as well.

Ok he didn't play the first game last year so I looked at the second game.

He made 125m off 15 runs. That equals 8.3 mtrs per run.

Anyway our centres for game one:

Beale: 115m off 11 runs. Thats 10.45 per run

Folau: 114m from 13 runs. Thats 8.76 per run

I think they held there own ok.

Try assists
Tackle busts
Missed tackles (lack thereof)

Hodges in 18 appearances last season:

Line breaks: 8
Try assists: 6
Tackle busts: 111

I think I know why you pick Yow Yeh over Kemp to be honest.

Yow Yeh is just a more compete footballer.
Players like Kemp, Chirs Walker, Bryson Goodwill can all find the tryline, but there is more to a winger these days than just scoring trys.
Give me Boyd, Sing, De Vere, Yow Yeh anyday of the week except for days that end with y.
Supporters like The Rock, Aeetee...all they care about is the flashy play.
You don't win big games with big flashy plays.

Are you seriously taking the piss or something? Have you got a short memory? What about Kemp's footwork? His step? His ability in the air? Remember that try where he put the boot to ball, kicked it a few times (with little sideline room to move) and he scored the try? What about Kemp's elusiveness? Remember that try he scored against Manly 2 years ago in the baby broncos match? He dead set ran rings around half of them. Remember that try against the Sharks I think it was where he took the ball from dummy half 10 metres out, stepped around 2-3 players, saw the gap (great vision as usual) and went over for a try??? Forgot that too?

How can you say Kemp is not a complete footballer?

And considering I just backed up my whole argument with examples, how about you do the same with Yow Yeh because to be honest, Yow Yeh hasn't shown anything more than what Kemp has shown so far.

Also, there isn't really anything more to a winger than scoring tries - That is their job, to finish off movements. To score tries. They are not there really to "create" a play. Even so, Kemp creates a LOT of his own.

Um as a PLAYER you're supposed to tackle and stop tries. Not just a winger, as a PLAYER. That's a given for any player. Defuse attacking raids? That's also a given for any player in the team. Or do you mean aerial raids? If so, Kemp does that pretty good too.

I've backed up my argument regarding Kemp with EXAMPLES. You're yet to do it. You're boring.

His reading of the play is second to none.
The number of times he has swooped onto the ball to diffuse a dangerous kick, though he did make
a critical error against the Storms in the semi. But that happens to the best of players.
The number of times he appears from nowhere to make a try saver.
And if you want to talk about flashy play, what about that try against the cowboys?
Swooping on a dangerous kick, and turning one of the best players in the world inside out.
Kemp is just another Chris Walker type player, whereas Yow Yeh will turn out just as good as Matt Sing.

Probably not much, but Inglis is more a traditional centre and I think the Broncos need them. Because Folau isn't a traditional centre either at this point. Though he showed promising signs on Friday night of playing a more traditional centre role and working well with Kemp.
