Honestly there is nothing I would like more than for us to succeed under Kev. I actually think I might tear up if kev won a prem as coach. I think his heart might actually explode from joy.

I think he is also improving as a coach. His bench use is getting better and his team lists are less reactionary.
I will 100% cry my grown ass mans eyes out if kevie wins a comp with broncos. it would go down for me as one of the greatest sporting moments for me personally.

I still have huge doubts over his coaching ability but your 100% right on the bench use last night, could not fault it one bit and that has normally been one of kevs major head scratchers during a game.

I just really hope kev can surround himself with people who are good at what hes not good at. Its one of the things wayne bennett has always been good at apparently. he knows were his shortcomings are and surrounds himself with ppl who can pick up in that area.

This is wear DD and ikin need to come in clutch for kev as well. Hopefully they are truly on his side and not just waiting for a car crash to happen

I dont think any of the 3 sides we are playing are anything to worry about if we turn up. If we are turning things around, these are the sort of games we have to win.
Yes they aren't much if we turn up... however there are circumstances that hamper us, which I have mentioned.
- Souths look beatable, but we don't travel well
- Manly looked pretty trash, but they're a different team with Turbo
- Newcastle definitely winnable, but again we can't travel for shit

It will be a good chance to see if we can actually travel

I'll take 1 from 3 (especially Newcastle, ripe for the picking) but 2 from 3 would be grand. That's my pass mark for Kev, especially after the Sharks win.
I’ll take 5 from the next 5. South’s are well beatable this year especially if we can keep up our intensity and attitude. With Souths form so far again tonight, we know that they are not the same team as the last few years. There’s a chance we could even go into the march as favourites.

Manly will be tougher, but the reality is their front row is poor, and some of the players that grew an extra leg last year have come back down to earth. It might depend on when Turbo’s back, but if we don’t fall off a cliff in form next week I’d still go into the match with some confidence. Then it’s Knights, Titans and Raiders. And Raiders is at Suncorp. So yeah, 5 from 5.

After that Billy Walters video, I'm ready for top 4.

Souths will be tougher the second time than Manly. Unfortunately, they play the Tigers next, so even if we beat Souths we might not advance up the table.

But if we can beat Souths again, I reckon Kevvie can be waved through for the rest of the season. That will be proof enough the team is bouncing back.

Depends which south’s shows up. The one that struggle to hit 70% completions looks very beatable this year.

Souths have looked beatable pretty well every game.

They are missing Reynolds and Latrell big time.

Cook is the danger man and unfortunately our middle defence can get very loose.

Game is very winnable if everyone turns up... and the ref actually lets us play

The side that trounced Manly last night will put up a fight.

I haven't posted in this thread yet - because I think a sack Kev thread is TOO DAMN REACTIONARY!!!!

Big boats take a long time to turn, especially when the last skipper decided to burn the boat before sinking it into an iceberg.

Kev (&DD + Ikin) have taken a terrible, terrible team - ugly management, dickhead players, $1mil loser coach, media leaks, porn tapes, drug dealers, drug cheats, bikies, woman bashing, no heart, no soul, overpaid egotistical losers - and turned them into a semi-okay team. They're good people, the vibes are high, we are winning a few games here and there, we have astute signings including the signing of the year and we are on the right direction.

I completely back the boards decision to extend Kev's contract. For the first time since 2017, I've enjoyed being a Broncos supporter. He might not have all the tools to be a premiership winning coach - but, he also might? We don't know yet.

Enjoy the journey, the hills sort themselves out - it's how we navigate the valleys that defines us.

This boat is still turning, have faith BHQ. Good things take time and we're onto something good.

Watching Kev's presser this morning on the Broncos website.

First thoughts is that he still does not like to front up to the media but he does seem far more relaxed compared to the beginning of his tenure.

I admire the fact that he twice made mention that it has been the best start to a season in five years. A great positive storyline for the hacks, but don't expect to see it get a run.

All the signs are there to back up his contention that we are a side on the up, and it makes me want to strangle that pond scum journo Weedler for leading with the story of Kev's job being at risk in an attempt to undermine him and create a story right at the time when the club is showing real signs of improvement.

On that, why do League journo's thrive on negative stories that revolve around coaches being sacked? I mean we get full page layouts where they analyse each coach and place them in a list that they think are the ones most likely to be sacked. I'm not sure I've ever seen any other sport being so anally retentive on such a subject matter. To sit and openly debate the livelihood of a fellow human being and at times demand that particular coach lose his job is pretty disgusting. To deliberately generate a false narrative at the expense or demise of the people actually coaching in the sport these journos make a living from is pure and simple parasitic.

Maybe the real truth is the majority of these so called League journos don't know the first thing about the game itself and therefore would struggle to write anything of merit that would pass muster as a piece fit to be printed.

I kid you not, but I think some of the opinion pieces posted on here by the likes of @Big Pete are far more engaging and infinitely more informative than most of the tosh published by the press.

Personally, the Broncos are a long way away from where I would like to see them, but I'm super impressed by the work Kev has done in turning the clusterfuck that Siebold left us around. Like any other coach in our comp. as the cattle he gets to work with improves so too will his results.

Most of you will know that I don't care much for the opinion of Druggy Johns, but I see he has come out this morning and said Reynolds is playing better footy than when he was at Souths. I wonder how much of the credit for that will go to Kev for his coaching?

The team that started the Kevolution is now in full Reynovation mode - we're getting there.

Best of luck and happy hunting to our team and especially our skipper on such a highly important game tonight.

Do it!!!!

I saw DCE do the wipe the table thing at the Sea Eagles post match presser the other night .
Gave the table a brush down when he got asked a tough question .

Clean slate ? Piss it off start - again ? Straight to the rubbish ? I wish I had a hole to crawl into . Maybe I`ll dig one ?

DCE seems like a bloke who would listen to that seedy mindset guru like Kev does. I wonder if it’s a technique in that industry.

Well it`s not exactly stoic is it ?
You might think a media manager might coach them to not do it . Kinda like the non challenging answers players and coaches give at press conferences .

One week at a time . We need to stick together and work hard . If we play to our potential etc . all designed to not give the opposition motivation .

If the press ask a toughie and the coach / captain starts wiping the table I start to worry . The plans they were working on didn`t work .

Nothing surprises me with the NRL anymore. Can't even keep their tables fucking clean and let the players and coaches do their dirty work.....
