I know I keep harping on the D, but I can't see him defending in such a specialist spot. He might not be beaten on the outside, but one-on-one he'd get steamrolled too easily.
True, but isn't Eden going to Newcastle? So that should free up enough in the cap....So we are going to have; Niko, Niko, Segeyaro, GI. Man, this will be good.
Kodi can play anywhere in the backline, not the worst idea to trial him at centre, he looked there the other week against the Cows when we were down a whole bench and he played wing/centre.
Kahu to center, Niko to wing?

Well, if I was advising him ( fantasy world of course ) I would say....Kodi, get the absolute most cash from Melbourne, revel in the experience, enjoy Melbourne and its history, culture etc and learn from one of the very best coaches around. Imagine having Smith and Cronk, Slater and others to mentor you. We have nothing like that in our club. I suppose you could argue Parker and Boyd would do something similar but Kodi's position would benefit from having Cronk and a Smith as mentor advisors. Talk about one of the most professional sides ! It would be all upside playing for Bellamy.IMO Jayden is even less of a bench hooker as Kodi. He'd only be here as a backup half, but that's not a bad thing. He has hopefully learned that the promise of a starting spot and bigger dollars isn't necessarily the answer. Not at his stage of development. He should commit to us for 2 years - if he thinks he's good enough for the top grade, let him prove himself in Q-Cup while training and developing with one of the most professional NRL sides.

Yeah, but no Smith, Cronk and Slater, which are imo some of the smartest players the game has ever seen.he is already at a club with great structures and the best coach in history at the helm
Except he'd have to live in Melbourne, in dismal weather surrounded by insufferable ****s who won't stop harping on about AFL and how the coffee's better and the culture's better and the pizzas and the asian food (!) and everything under the sun is just so much better in Melbourne because it's the only real international city in Australia and on and on it'll go until the guy tops himself just to make them shut the **** up.
