I'm not sure if grub is the word to describe him but he has let some crap creep into his game that definately wasn't there 4 or 5 years ago - facials, grapples, the kicking stuff. All stuff I just don't think he needs to do - when he forgets about that crap he is a remarkable player.

How is Slater a grub?

He got suspended for 6 weeks for kicking a bloke in the head..

He constantly slides across feet first trying to save tries in illegal manner..

He is a pest.

Sliding feet first into tackles wasn't illegal when he did it. In fact it was one of the smartest plays a fullback can do, and it saved a few tries. Now that it's illegal he doesn't do it.

Or a logical reason to hate their own players who leave? Same deal imo.

I hate the way Slater can act cocky or just like a douchebag sometimes, although it seems like it hasn't been happening as much now the season has progressed. For example in the Aus NZ test earlier this season a Kiwi player scored a try and Slater went up and pushed him in the back for no reason (something I've seen him to a lot), so Adam Blair went and got up in his grill which seemed to make him pull his head in lol.

But before anyone has a go at me for that, I hate it when other players do it as well. When Hodges acts like a shithead it pisses me off too. I don't really like Billy Slater, but it's got nothing to do with me hating the storm as well (and I do).

That said, I have absolute respect for Slaters ability, IMO he's by far the best fullback in the game and has been for at least 2 seasons now.
