Imagine how good Lockyer would have been with a decent halfback. Pretty sure he didn’t have one most of his career

He had decent halfbacks, and poor example anyone as Locky was one of a kind. If our benchmark is ‘Locky or better’ we are going to be pretty fucking disappointed.

Mustn’t be, personally just don’t see the point of having two running halves that can’t kick or control the attack

I always saw the O’Sullivan signing as akin to signing someone’s brother to keep the first grade star at the club (ie Lodge’s brother-in-law and sister in the same town). Clever move by crafty old WB to make Lodge comfortable in Brisbane.
