I think it'd be highly unlikely he's out for the season. Month worst case scenario. It's not like he totally dislocated the shoulder. Subluxation implies it's a partial dislocation, which is more partial tearing/stretching of ligaments rather than ruptures (which require surgery).

It's still going to be hard to see him playing the first Origin game at least. Definitely won't play the test. I really hope they give Prince the gig.

North Queensland Cowboys halfback Johnathan Thurston suffered a season-ending shoulder injury as his side succumbed to a 23-16 defeat against Wests Tigers.

As far as I'm concerned, he's not out for the season until the Cowboys confirm it.

I have it on good authority from NQ that early diagnosis indicates it's a month, 6 weeks tops.

Prince might be struggling to be fit for it himself. I think (even if Prince is fully fit) they will go with Cronk if they need to replace JT

I think Prince should be selected for the test match but not for Origin.

IMO I think Prince is a better player anyway and should be chosen if it was purely individual. However with all the combination's Cronk would be the better choice in origin.

Same combinations in Aust team
Yeah but international games are no where near as intense and combinations do not tend to play as big a part as they do in Origin games where the pressure is intense and scorelines tend to be low.

The fact is the Australian team is miles ahead of everyone else, we could pick shane perry and still win. I believe Prince has more individual skill so he deserves to be rewarded. If the sole focus was winning than yeah I would still chose Cronk either way because he has a great combination with all key positions.

Dude. Have you been drinking?

Did you just say.

"If they want to win, they should pick Cronk. But they should pick Prince"

Why wouldn't winning be the sole focus in a test? What else are they going out there to do exactly?

I mean if it was actually going to be a tight contest, Australia will blow NZ out of the water anyway regardless of the choice they make. I think Prince is mighty unlucky to miss out on rep selections so much.
