Lockyer apologised after new footage was aired last night that appeared to show him grabbing a bar manager who'd approached players about taking drinks onto the footpath on a night out earlier this month.

''(It) proves that I was the person that made the tackle on the manager there,'' Lockyer told Fairfax Radio.

The gun playmaker said he was unable to remember the moment where he is seen in the footage to be lifting the bar manager.

"If that's the case, you know my intentions wouldn't have been to be intimidating ... if I offended anyone I apologise.''

He has semi admitted it was him.
