Mitchell Pearce Incident

The club apparently gave all players free cab charge to get home. Pretty much telling them to get blind on Aus day. Great culture we have

A company giving an employee a cab charge voucher isn't anything special. It also doesn't say to go out and get blind drunk. Given you can have 2 drinks and get done for drink driving, I would say that it's a very good idea that they did give them out.

To be fair, unable to drive doesn't have to mean blind. I'd see that as an "enjoy yourself but don't drive".

Exactly. If at 26 and the club captain, after previous indiscretions and (I assume) significant teaching about this sort of thing, you can't understand the difference between "one too many to drive" and "let's grab a chick who said no, piss ourselves, faux-**** a dog, make a racist sexist tirade and have to be forced to leave a private premises", then you have a serious problem. First class douche. Deserves all he gets IMO.

Loving the memes!! Some are just tooooo good...

Totally agree. On another note, faux-**** is now my new favourite word. Thank you Sir!

Is it just me that thinks that if he were a Bronco, he would be sacked no questions asked? I don't like to sound totally biased, but I have long admired the Broncos culture, especially compared with other clubs.

For Christ's sake, we sacked Gagai for being late to a few training sessions.

Remember that time that 2 recently signed ex-Broncos were the only 2 players with Mitch when he pretended to **** a dog?

It was more than just being late for a few training sessions.

There were a few more players there.

Edit: Changed my mind.

No evidence of the allegation made in the text, so I've deleted to be on the safe side.

Yeah but we dealing with footballers. They'd see it as a reason to get blinnnd.

Head of the NRL Integrity Unit, Karyn Murphy, is responsible for determining the fate of crestfallen Sydney Roosters captain Mitchell Pearce.

Murphy — former captain of the Jillaroos rugby league team and one of country’s top female police officers with 25 years experience on the Queensland force — signed up with the NRL as the senior investigator on the code’s integrity unit, taking over from Alby Taylor.

The process for determining Pearce’s fate — and possibly new recruits Dale Copley and Jayden Nikorima if they’re found to have breached the club’s code of conduct for being with the Roosters captain on the night he featured in a boozy video — will be undertaken firstly by his club.

Should the Roosters own investigation and any subsequent penalties be deemed inadequate, Murphy then has the power to apply further levels of disciplinary action.

Pearce's fate will be decided by a woman.

I heard on the radio that her comments were along the lines of "If his career in the NRL isn't over then she'll have to reconsider her role with the NRL".

Damn, so it's like a "Either he's axed, or I'm quitting" thing. Interestinggggg

I added that before but got rid of it because there is no evidence of it. Could come back to bite us on the ass.
