More defections.

Well we've won the past two years being 'carried' by a coach who's worse than Brad Fittler apparently...

And Mal apparently can't motivate a side he's guided to six successive Origin series.

You can do better than this tooth fairy.

In QLD. What's your point? I don't care about the technical eligibility.

How can you possible spend your entire childhood in NSW, move to QLD then say you bleed QLD? Heartless tool.

I bet you anything that if NSW had won 6 straight then Kennedy would tried to pledge his allegiances to NSW.

We don't need these gutless, heartless tools anyway.

If you don't care about technical eligibility then you shouldn't really be arguing. That's all it comes down to in the end.

You said he moved when he was 10. That's not his entire childhood. That's 10 years of it.

It's kind of like you supporting QLD then turncoating.

That team doesn't exactly need much motivating. He's not better motivator than anyone else. Brad Fittler is more charismatic than Mal. Mal should stick to picking fruit.

Being off your face 24/7 =/= charismatic.

FACT: Mal has ensured six straight series, a feat that no other coach has been able to achieve.

Where did he play his first senior footy out of curiosity?

I would argue that sub 10 year olds don't really care where they play footy - as long as they play. For all we know he enjoyed QLD footy much more as he matured and he genuinely feels like QLD is his home.
I'd hate to admit to ever having lived there, but maybe I lived in NSW on and off for a few years as a youngster...and I didn't even give a rats ass about NSW/QLD nor knew anything about a rivalry.....so there you go. The "lived in NSW as a little kid" argument is invalid.
*cough*letusneverspeakofthisagain*cough*secretshame*cough*

Also, 10 years is 83% of his childhood. When he was 10 years old and playing footy in the backyard and emulating Origin players, do you think THEN that he was hoping to play for QLD or NSW at the point in time?

His idols growing up where Shane Webcke and Steve Price.

And even though 83% of his childhood was in NSW, it's not that relevant if you aren't that into league for most of those years. He didn't start playing til he was 9 years old. If you don't follow Rugby as a 0-8y.o., NSW and QLD are just states to you, they don't have any real meaning the way they do in Origin. When these things began to have meaning, it was obviously when he was in QLD.

Way to miss the point then. I'm not arguing whether he's eligible or not. Clearly he is rightfully eligible for QLD. But the point is, he's a heartless douche for suggesting he bleeds maroon.

When he was 10 years old and playing footy in the backyard and emulating Origin players, do you think THEN that he was hoping to play for QLD or NSW at the point in time? Unless he was a Broncos fan, I doubt he would have even thought about playing for QLD when he was 10.

As he spent his teenage years in QLD, quite clearly he became attached to the idea that he'd have to play for QLD and of course, there is absolutely no way you would tell your teenage mates that you're a blue, you'd get your arse kicked. Peer pressure kicked in too.
The most impressionable age is by far the early teenage years (between 10 and 16 y/o). It is at this time that most of your character is formed, and is directly influenced by the world around you, which makes Kennedy's choice and statements perfectly normal.

LOL at the 83%. Since when do you stop being a child at 13 y/o?

If anything, you're the heartless douche for supporting the Maroons first and then turncoat to the NSW'kers well after reaching adulthood.
(although it could be argued that you haven't reached it mentally or physically... :finger:)

Exactly! I didn't understand most of the decisions made when I was ten let alone the repercussions of making them. It was only until my mid - late teens that I really came to grips with it.

I also lol'd at the 83% comment. I was a child until I could legally drink, vote and gamble - 18. Though some would argue that I am still a child wearing a man suit.

He's no more 'heartless' than Sterling, Nagas, McManus and Inglis, or even you. Quit your whinging blew.

Whhhoooooo caaaaaaaaaaaares. Kennedy's a good player, but hardly a must-have. If the Broncos missed out on signing him, I'd just shrug it off, and I feel the same way about this. We've got plenty of great forwards to choose from without worrying about him.

This just shows how you know nothing about the culture within Queensland Rugby League and it's why you are a massive turncoat and typical of the state you support.

My 82 year old grandmother could be forced into the QLD coaching chair and you would still be favoured. It would be great to win this year and make Meninga look like the dickhead he is.

Let's get off this Kennedy debate he'll never play for either state let's move on.

Even if that did happen, which it won't, you'll have Mal Meninga winning 6 Origin series as coach, out of 7 attempts. If that's a dickhead then fair dinkum what word would we use to describe your posts on this forum?

I admired him greatly up till 2010 when he remarked that NSW care about skin colour which offended me badly and his rubbish rant at the end of last year's series that showed his true colours. Thats a poor example considering he is an immortal of the game.

Aren't you in high school? What did you represent NSW in?

Last year my school did an Origin series and I trialled for it and got selected. Yeah I know it's not an official state rep but to me I felt proud about playing for my state and family history.

Yet you like Gus Gould...the king of stupid comments...

Mal was completely justified to make all the comments he did. The behaviour of a couple of sections of the Rugby League community was dreadful.
