More defections.

How can Queensland pride be a bandwagon? If so, the bandwagon is cross-generational. I'm not sure what the definition of "bandwagon" is, however I'd suggest it isn't sold-out stadiums since 1980.

The entire state rides the State of Origin passion and has done since 1980. NSW people know this, they just can't understand it.

You suck there's plenty of Origin pride in NSW just becuase we aren't drunks doesn't mean where not passionate. Also in Sydney unless you live out West it's a pain to get to as Sydney is 3 times as big as Brisbane and is about 5 times the population. You've been out of QLD to make rubbish like that.

With a population as big as Sydney you would think they would easily sell out ANZ Stadium without giving away hundreds of free tickets.

Also as someone who has been to a number of Origin games in both Brisbane and Sydney that are far more 'drunks' in Sydney - particularly after all the Westies come in. The difference is QLD drunks are still passionate about State of Origin. NSW drunks just want to biff QLDers because their team is so **** and they are sick of losing.

I'm sorry Broncoman, I don't understand your post?

Sydney is the biggest City in Australia, surely this lends weight to the argument that Origin games in Sydney should sell out easier than Brisbane.

Also, I'm sure there are some very proud NSW supporter's, however as a whole, NSW doesn't celebrate State of Origin as passionately as QLD does. There is no denying this by anyone who has been to both cities. It's not the fault of the passionate NSW Rugby League fans, but it is true.

I have expirience from living in both states. My hometown is Armidale NSW northern country and everyone there was just as passionate about Origin as here, if not more. In Sydney there is plenty of other things on when in the country Rugby League is what the main pastime.

Martin Kennedy has been one of the most talented Roosters forwards to come through their system. I dunno how he went in the one round of this year so far, but he's a shining light of a crappy Roosters side.

And Tolman is possibly the future of NSW. But I'm happy if they keep picking nuffies like King, Merrin etc as they have for the last few years.

Yeah, Alec didn't you know Tolman is too short for Origin?

1cm shorter than Mannah
3cm taller than Gallen
1cm shorter than Hannant
Same height as Webcke
2cm taller than Merrin.

But yeah, too small.

That was your big complaint about him last year.

And why? Are you running out again? Ring Gids.

 I'm not going to dig through archives of posts to find what you said. It may have been he was too 'small' which to me is absurd when he's basically the same size as McGuire & Hannant. Props I imagine you rate.

I don't mind you don't consider him Origin standard. It's an uncommon POV but I think the 'too small' line is a cop-out. Big enough is good enough and if Tolman is producing the goods on the field you'd be silly not to consider him.

I saw Broncoman posting in the Origin forum and saw "More defecation"...could only be about NSW :P

Doesn't perform at club level?

An average of 36 tackles, 16 Hit Ups for 130m at just 23 year's old and you're saying he doesn't perform at club level?

Wow, I just mean wow.

And he's more than just a fantasy hero, he's got good footwork and a nice quick play the ball which are fantastic and underrated qualities for a front row. I get that you wouldn't want him in the NSW side with a bloke like Gallen already playing the work-horse like role but I will not tolerate this criticism ya hear!

Tolman is a powderpuff, the guy runs up so meekly compared to the higher standard props in the game ie.Civo, Mannah, Snowden, Moi Moi, Scott etc. He has absolutely no scope for Origin IMO as he doesn't hurt anyone in either offence or defence.

A lot of NSW'kers mouth defecation going around this thread, that's for sure. :haha:

Props with Tolmans work rate are made for Origin. Might not be ready now but I think he will play a fair few Origin game sin the future.

Mate, the stats. do Tolman justice. In a s**t pack last year, Tolman was the only one moving them forward, not too bad for a 23 year old.

I get that you don't think he's Origin standard. With Gallen playing the workhorse role - it's a fair point but to say he doesn't perform at club level is bogus. And it's just typical Flex Kavana stubbornness.

You need the toilers so the impact players can have an impact.

Last year I thought Tolman was unlucky to not get an Origin jersey, and given who NSW picked, that was in some ways valid. However, I don't really think he's anywhere near being at Origin level. What he does well doesn't really transfer to Origin and he'd just get dominated by a superior QLD pack. IMO Merrin and Mannah are the future of the NSW front row, with Tim Grant a better candidate than Tolman.

You've got to look at Tolman in comparison to the better Origin props in the last 5 years. Civoniceva, Price, Scott etc. He's not fit to remove their strapping tape.

The fact the only decent, dominant performance NSW have had from a prop since 2006 was Gallen in game 2 last year says SO much about the lack of quality front rowers south of the border. People go on about the NSW halves being ****, but I think their lack of decent props has been the primary cause of NSW's failure and QLD's dominance.
