CROSS FORUM NRL 2022 Round 25 Discussion

Well if they actually flogged the Storm you might have sumpin to crow about .
Wasn`t a flogging and the Storm were getting stronger the last 15 minutes . Good win , but flogging no .
It was a joke mate but thanks for the clarification Captain Obvious

Oh Sorry bro .
You didn`t use the obvious joke / sarcasm font so I thought you were serious .

Now , what about that awesome technique that Mitchell Mosses used to tackle Kenny Bromich and put him out of the game ?
Classic drive your head into the tackled players chin while he is on the ground . Should be looked at by the MRC ...

Commentators do that sht all the time . See some one pole axed and start screaming about what a good hit it was . Replays more often show it was illegal and dangerous .

Storm backrower Kenny Bromwich failed a HIA after a strong tackle from Eels playmaker Mitch Moses.

Bromwich’s head came down hard on the ground as the 33-year-old lost the ball in the 50th minute.

“Bromwich is not well and struggling to get up,” Fox League’s Cooper Cronk said.

“This is a tough sport folks, doesn’t matter who hits who... there are some big shots in our game,” Andrew Voss said.

Driving your head into a players chin ,forcing hard impact of his head on the ground and damaging his teeth / jaw is not fcking OK

Yeah okay I'm not sure it's not okay, but who did this?

And then the commentators said "because it's a halfback it's okay. If that were a Big Nelson or JWH, he'd be under the microscope". Like those guys haven't been pulling shit like that for years with no deterrent beyond a pissy fine.

I swear the moment NAS or JWH do something massive that they are going to twist the narrative that the grubs "are only getting targeted because of their name" and there will be a push back in the opposite direction again.

Mitchell Moses tackled Kenny Bromich .
Then used his head to force Bromich`s head into the ground whilst simultaneously landing on Bromich`s jaw with the top of his head .
Bromich got up holding his jaw and spitting blood . HIA .

It`s an extension of the wrestle . Now using the head as a lever . We see it more and more on the ground using the head to pin the ball player on the ground . Last night he used the head to lever Bromich over back wards then landed with his head on Bromich`s jaw .

Not a Storm fan what so ever . But the tackle was deliberate and dirty . Took out the opposition player via HIA .

Yeah this. I would happily allow every Storm player ever to be crushered, prowlered, grappled, rolling-pinned, chicken winged, and whatever other kind of 'inged, in each and every game.

I could care less if its the Storm..
Illegal contact with the head that causes injury / HIA is never gonna be OK with me .Go as.hard as you want ,but dirty is not OK .

It's just further proof Melbourne don't develop shit, they're just good recruiters.

I would happily argue Coates has become worse since going there.

The blokes they generally develop play a fair bit of Queensland Cup before they make the NRL side. Coates hasnt been through that process, seems its not anywhere near as effective.

The Moses hit was a beauty, some people just enjoy whinging I guess

Nah ,can`t agree . Smashing a guys teeth in with a deliberate head butt.

Is a send off and suspension in my opinion .

They talked about a duty of care when Patty got 4 weeks . Duty of care not to smash your head into a downed player . Causing a HIA ?

Carrigan should have been suspended and the Moses hit was legit, the NRL got both right. "Deliberate headbutt" is absurd, come on mate.

I have watched it several times .
He drove his head into his jaw .Caused his mouth to bleed and he had to leave the field for HIA .
How and when is that ever OK ?

The initial contact was awesome . He knocked Bromich off balance . The finish with his head was wrong .
