I'll blame the elongated round length for the incorrect scheduling of this thread

Team lists have been inserted. Apparently they went up at 11 so apologies for any inconvenience, the ANZAC delay threw everything off kilter.

I'd say the biggest selection news was Kyle Flanagan making way in the halves. Flanagan has really struggled during his time at the Bulldogs and it appears that his time is coming to an end. I just wonder how long it will be until Karl Oloapu receives his opportunity. He's still raw and I would be hesitant to play him for half the season, but I could see him playing a few games and then helping the Bulldogs out in the NSW Cup finals.

Chicken sandwich must be pissed the Bulldogs haven't handed him the 6 jumper on a silver platter.

I wonder if he will come out and kick up a stink again and say he won't be playing for them as long as he lives.

what makes it worse down there is that with Us he had to beat out Mam for a spot in the halves ... at the Bulldogs, he only had to beat out Flanagan and now Josh Reynolds

Wasn't Oloapu's contention that he wasn't in the NRL squad and was going to be developed as a forward?

So far the Bulldogs have held up their end of the bargain.

I'd have to go back and check, but i'm pretty sure his complaint against us, was that we didn't put him straight into the top 30 and give him the 6 jumper.

also hasn't he been playing in the halves for the Bulldogs reserve grade side ...

If he can't beat that pair, then he might as well give up.

"My dream for as long as I can remember has been to play NRL and I have shed a lot of tears over how things have ended up… probably too many tears," Oloapu told Wide World of Sports.

"I was in between managers when I signed with the Broncos and only went in to see them with my older brother Joe for advice.

"They gave me a document that was more than 60 pages long and told (me) to sign it.

"I tried to read it and understand it all in 30 minutes but without a manager or legal advice it was very hard.

"The club told me I would be in the top 30 full-time players next year and that I would be playing at my preferred position of five-eighth and that I would meet (head coach) Kevin Walters, so I was happy.

"They gave me a chicken sandwich and that was it - we were shown the door… it didn't feel right.

"Now since then I have been told I am not part of the full-time squad and they want me to play at lock or hooker and change the shape of my body.

"I've never met Kevin and barely heard from the club. When my new manager asked to see their letter of offer to me, the club told him they had lost it… how does that happen?"

To me that doesn't necessarily read like he expected to be starting at 6. Reads like Top 30 and viewed as a five-eighth option.

Mind you, I think it was a sob story and the manager tried to weasel out of the deal and get him to The Dolphins but I don't think the Bulldogs have contradicted his expectations.

We're not quite at 'I'm only leaving here to play fullback' like Hodgey tried to sell us.

Don't be surprised if he's promoted later on in the week.

There's word that there's no guarantee Reynolds will be playing at 5/8.

Dogs paid us 500k to take him though so who cares, we win anyway.

Dylan Walker free to play this week after he successfully had his charge downgraded to a fine.

Common sense prevails at least.
What did you make of the tackle compared to Rapana's on Capewell? Obviously we had better vision of the Walker tackle, but they seemed similar?

@Mustafur, we know they paid a transfer fee, we don't know if it was the $500,000.

I miss the little old fashioned things that are dying out - like taking your hats off as a mark of respect.
