So if a winger runs 80 and drops the ball over the line, you’re happy to let that go?
Let me rephrase then... I dont care enough about nothing minor forward passes for the NRL to go out of their way to develop a technology that doesnt readily exist... especially a technology that might pick up extremely minor forward passes that arent necessarily visible to the naked eye, just to take tries away.
I already mentioned that blatant forward passes, which create the try piss me off... but that is on the officials to pick up and they dont... or they call backwards passes forward.
Technology required to overrule your example is watching a replay of what they're already filming... it was common sense to bring it in and they still **** that up on occassion.
Now they're talking about bringing in a technology that doesnt exist and will effectively become the 'truth' on passes.
Can only imagine the scenes when a game winning try is brought back because a minor nothing forward pass is pulled up by the technology... and it's all because the officials have been missing the blatant ones right in front of them that are visibly forward on replays.
Why not just let vid refs adjudicate on forward passes??
If it's too tight to call on replay, because you're mainly watching how it comes out of the hands, then they just indicate it as inconclusive, but at least they would have a rule there to turnover the absolute howlers... which to me are the ones that I do care about
