Will he? Whether we agree with the decision or not, Des has basically now been a big part of running Manly into the ground twice and the Bulldogs once, I think clubs will be very wary of taking him on as head coach now.

He doesn’t leave clubs in a good condition. Would the possibly short term gain of getting him on board be worth the inevitable long term destruction?

But then, what do I know, Seibold is about to get another gig in exactly the same circumstances he got his last one and well, he’s back.

Should be free sorry for Manly, having Seibold as coach, or do we say F@ck em & laugh & hope he stuffs them up.

Didn't the Trbojevic brothers have it in their contract that Des has to be coach.

Holy shit, Manly actually fucking did it.

Im actually so keen to see Seibold have another crack - whether it goes good bad or indifferent it will be entertaining. The poor bastard must love a challenge though, takes the hardest possible gigs

Seibold was never going to make it here.

I do feel sorry for him what happened. The players at the time were toxic.

Most of the toxic players have been moved on.

And tends to fail at them all too. Terrible coaching record in league and somehow lucks out again with a job he will likely be in for less than 12 months before he gets a massive payout to walk away. He’ll then likely get another gig with Adam O’Brien somewhere in the Super League and somehow turn whatever team that is into underperformers too.

The players were toxic, the front office was toxic, the media was bordering on criminal - he did himself no favours though.

Unfortunately he’s basically signed up to walk straight into the same situation. The playing group and fans will be off him before he even steps in the door.

Fail all of them? He had a successful stint at the bunnies and was the world biggest flop at the broncos. None of his other part time roles can really be commented on because we don’t really know true details.

This is why i am 100% confident Slater would be a great coach. The talent pool is pretty shallow when you look at some of the names that keep getting recycled despite failing. Slater is 10x smarter than some of these guys.

I think Manly are crazy, if Turbo stays fit all of their on field problems disappear. Des has screwed up before but this oneis on Manly's admin.

He big noted himself into the job and didn't want any help off anyone. Basically ripped our whole system down because his system was better and paid the price for it. I don't feel sorry for him at all.

Look at his record at lower levels.

The one thing that helps him is the fact that Manly's whole attack revolves around DCE and the Trbojevic brothers. They are very smart people that understand the technical side of footy very well, and with Seibold's style of coaching that could work in their favour.

Whether it works or not, time will tell.

Good point but they’re also the 3 biggest Des fans at the club - and DCE is the modern day Robbie Farah.
