Ive been heavy handed and shitting on the NRL a lot lately.
Most of it has been warranted as far as im concerned, but i would be a prick if i didnt acknowledge the game for its good points when they happen.

The way the seizure incident involving Corey Harawira-Naera was handled by both teams was bloody great to see and is one of those moments where i love RL the most.

Kudos to both the Souths and Raiders players for giving him some privacy in a scary moment, that is good stuff and both teams deserve recognition for it.

And while im at it, a huge kudos to the Broncos for acknowledging the Warriors with those dedicated jerseys.

I don't see the NRL involved in either of those things. One involves RL players and the other a club. The NRL didn't organise either.

Jarrod Wallace has reportedly called police in after he came under heavy fire on social media for posting a photo of him and his pregnant fiancé with the caption: “You look real good cooking our little boy, but even better when you’re washing my clothes”

he tried to clear the air and changed his caption. which still didn't go down well with the keyboard warriors.

so he ended up posting the following apology to his instagram story:

“I am sorry to anyone that possibly took offence to an innocent inside joke between my fiancee and I.

“I now know that I need to better elaborate any posts with intended humour in future. It was not my intention, but to clarify, it is an ongoing joke between us.

“I am a proud dad and step-dad to our four beautiful little girls, also the most empowering of my beautiful fiancee and would never want anyone to have an opinion I am sexist or promoting sexism as a public figure.

“My fiancee is the heart of our home and goes above for me and the girls, I love and respect her more than you can imagine.

“That being said, misinterpretation of an inside joke does not give strangers permission to send threatening messages to either myself or Shannon, threatening the wellbeing of our daughters and unborn child.

“Those matters will now be dealt with legally and will be investigated by police.”

Fucking arseholes. She even posted and said he does ALL of the washing in the house and that was the point of the joke. Then people started going after her too. Waste of fucking oxygen people who want to complain about shit like this, deadset. Even aside from the fact it's NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU...there's homeless families all over the shop and you want to be outraged over a bloke joking that his wife looks good while doing the laundry - that HE does?? Get your damn priorities straight.

The NRL's ratings are pretty phenomenal

Has that ever happened ever?

4 games less then AFL and similar viewers, the moment NRL gets the 18th team the gap is going to widen big time, especially if it's in a different market like Perth.

LOL. Ryles set to turn down Dragons coaching role, for a position at Storm. lol.

Via Fox Sports.

I had a feeling that would happen and it's the smart move.

Storm had two targets at the top of their list for Bellamy's replacement when he does eventually retire, that was Slater and Ryles. Slater doesn't have any ambitions to be an NRL head coach anytime soon.

I imagine Ryles turning down the job means Hornby will now get it. He was the Dragons other target.

Hornby, or whoever they get, would be crazy to accept the Dragon's role though.

There's no stability in the head office and that's just a recipe for disaster. You need stability from top to bottom, especially rookie coaches.

From the rumours I've been hearing, that's what made Ryles reluctant to accept the Dragon's job.
