yes and I feel you'd have to be pretty naive to accept that as the true reason. Stewart was asked to leave the main bar because he was drunk and that was all the NRL had against him. that is no worse that what has happened to many players in the NRL over the same time period. yet Stewart was suspended for 4 weeks and treated like a pariah by the NRL: a far harsher punishment than most other players ever receive.

the punishment clearly had a lot to due with the allegations of sexual assault, although the Gallop neatly avoided saying that

Yep agreed. The refereeing has been woefully one-sided. Mitchell Pearce is absolutely protected. It is really ticking me off. The better is side is on the wrong side of the scoreboard.

Pearce and Maloney are just crud! I just don't want the Roosters to win because Mitchell Pearce does not deserve to be a premiership winning halfback.

yeah, that's exactly my point.

The suspension that the NRL handed down (when you look at the severity) was clearly not just for being a bit drunk at a team function; you have to assume it had a lot to do with the allegations of sexual assault. but that is where it is bs because suspending Stewart for anything related to the alleged sexual assault was completely unfair

Cheering for the Roosters but the referring has been poor, the morale of the story is never trust a referee.

Been a very good game though the Roosters are just starting to get into some rythem after struggling in the first 20 minutes but Manlys defense is keeping the score close.

That's a fair point, but if they don't, it'll probably just be Reynolds and Sutton, not exactly much of an improvement.

Especially if it's Manly, the whinge will never end and they'll have a huge chip on their shoulder. HUGE. Even bigger than the unjustified one they have now.
