NRL Membership Challenge

Broncos can afford cheap non-ticketed memberships because they do so well out of merchandise, sponsorships and gate takings, even without season ticket memberships.

Being a very successful team and also being a one team town helps as well. Yet I still think your memberships should be higher. You guys should be almost as high at the Brisbane Lions membership levels, I do not know if this is ticketed and non ticketed but they have almost 24k. Plus if your non ticketed memberships are so cheap, why are there not more?

Souths used to have cheap non ticketed memberships before PHAC and Russell took over, it was only $35. The same package is now $100 and we have more members and more who keep joing. The club is better off because the fans are paying up and it is supporting the club while other clubs (NSW ones) are struggling and making big loses every year. All we want now is for the team to start paying us back with a great season this year and beyond.

Our sponsorship and merchandise sales would be way up there in the top 3 of bringing in the most money. I am pretty sure our merchandise store does over $1 million a year in profit and that all goes straight to the club.

Twiztid - what is the cheapest ticketed membership for Souths? $100 seems a lot to me for not even having tickets to the games.

Cheapest would be a $50 kids membership which does include ga tickets for kids under 16. Cheapest adult ticketed membership is $210 for GA seating ($140 for concession holders). There is a 5 game regional package for someone 100km's out the Sydney CBD at $160.

$100 was incorrect for non ticketed memberships. That was last years price, it is $90 this year with online payment only $85.

Wow that is a lot for ticketed memberships as well.

I reckon! Considering ours are $180 I think for reserved seat in the corner, near the back of the tier...we've done well!

Yeah - which actually makes me go "respect" to the Souths members. To pay that much (both ticketed and non-ticketed) to support their team when they really haven't been that successful for quite some time is pretty good.

Agree. And shows how hard it must be in Sydney to make ends meet.
