The rugby league rumour mill’s latest scuttlebutt suggested Inglis had told the Rabbitohs he wanted out, and was possibly on his way to a rival club.
But Fox Sports’ chief NRL reporter James Hooper told
NRL Tonight the rumours appear to be false.
Hooper spoke to Bunnies boss Shane Richardson who categorically denied Inglis has requested a release from his contract.

The star fullback/centre is contracted to the cardinal and myrtle until the end of 2020.
He did, though,
reveal to foxsports.com.au he almost returned to Melbourne — where his NRL career began — before signing the lucrative extension at Redfern.
Inglis hasn’t played a game since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in round one.
A fortnight ago he was admitted to a mental health rehabilitation facility and it was revealed he had been suffering depression.
