I'm not convinced he's depth either, I think he'll start in the halves.

1. Moylan
2. Feki
3. Dugan
4. Gray
5. Holmes
6. Hodkinson
7. Townsend
8. Fifita
9. Brailey
10. Prior
11. Graham
12. Lewis
13. Gallen (c)

14. Segeyaro
15. Capewell
16. Bukuya
17. Seumanufagai

That may work. I don't think Moylan is a half TBH, so fullback is his best position. Hodkinson & Townsend are both pretty dull controlling / percentages based halves, with little creativity, but Moylan may make up for that.

Good signing, a Townsend/ Moylan halves pairing would have been horrific.

Alex Walmsley re-signed with St Helens for 4 years apparently. Another player wasting away over there. Surely these blokes question if they could make it in the NRL?

Not everyone wants to move to the other side of the world away from family and friends. Especially if you're getting paid well anyway.

Has he? I don't think the Bulldogs would have broken the bank when they signed him. With DCE coming straight in, Hodkinson was going to be 3rd best half at Manly, so it wouldn't have taken much to leave. He would probably have been given decent money by the Knights as they signed him effectively at his peak, but it wouldn't have been multiple millions, not enough to set him up for life, anyway.

$600k a season with the Knights would have set him up nicely I would have thought ... not forever but a pretty good springboard for a 29 year old.

I would’ve been happy for us to sign Hodgko on that low price. He’d make great depth and could probably teach our boys a thing or two about kicking and game management.

Talk around town is Tyrone Peachey wants out of the Panthers to join the Titans now or in 2019.

Not exactly sure where the Titans are going to play him.. They've already got an abundance of backrowers, and they were originally planning on playing Ryan James as an edge back rower this year as well until Cartwright signed, don't see why they'd want Peachey unless they're viewing him as a Centre, which is possible.

I reckon the Titans have recruited really well this year. They managed to get rid of the worst and most overrated player (in terms of what he provided) without consequence (by all reports about pay cuts) who was cancerous on the team, managed to re-sign a gun young halfback to partner the young guy already there. They managed to get rid of the coach (while it wasn't the right way to go about it, it was without a doubt the right result), sign a heap of potentially good high risk, reward players in Hurrell, Cartwright and probably Peachey, etc on the cheap and have a couple of promising young Broncos on board. They will probably struggle this year but I think it is smart recruitment from the top down and going against the grain, I think they are building into a force to be reckoned with in years to come.

Talk around town is that this is about 3 weeks old news, Peachey has already signed for 19 (3 years 1.5 mill) but penrith dont want to release him early for 18 (and i cant see that happening now espeically with Cartwright leaving)

Hurrell has massive attacking potential but is a very poor defender. Cartiwright I honestly don't see the hype about, he needs to learn to run straight first-be a ball player second. Peachey is good in a lot of places and I really rate highly but he will not be a great in any position I can think of (eg forwards he lacks the punch/size, backs he lacks the light step/speed (to be a great! He is good in those departments but not outstanding)). Outside of that they have recruited broncos players smartly but who (including Wallace) would have been in the broncos pack in 5 years? Outside of Wallace, even on the bench? So if they aren't good enough for our bench is t a forward pack that will make the 8? Then you have Taylor... good player.... but if I pay $1 million they are taking an unwarranted/non-deserving side into the 8, do people see him doing that? Because he has a warranted top 8 side this year and I still don't see it happening this year lol

I think the Titans will make the 8, Penrith to struggle with team disharmony and the Raiders to again be strong. A few teams are on the rise and Souths will hit the bottom 4...cannot wait for tge season to get underway

Peachey isn't a top tier player in any position, it's true, but he's probably the best supersub in the game IMO. Sort of like Berrigan all those years ago, only bigger. I wonder if that's how the Titans will keep using him.

Seems they will be playing Cartwright at lock. Knowing Jai, he will be hugely disappointed at this as one if the attractions of him leaving us was to get a crack at lock.

Maybe he can train so hard as the 18th man that they give him a spot over someone else, like 1910 loves to bring up. (just joking mate)

Rumour about SBW getting signed by he roosters before the June 30 deadline, as well as frank paul nuaasala....

Surely a joke... there's no way they could get away with that. That'd be 3 of the biggest superstars in rugby league in ONE off season in place of a few has been convenientally timed positive drug result players. Even the staunchest "they just manage their cap well" supporter would see through it...
