Cooper Cronk makes Kevin Proctor look like a $500k player, without him it would be closer to $300k

Talk of McQueen heading to the cowboys if the cowboys release Tariq Sims.

Rumours

John Morris ---> Retirement
Isaac De Gois ---> England
Bradley Deitz ---> Cronulla (effective immediately)
Michael Ennis ---> Cronulla
Ben Murdoch-Masilla ---> Panthers (I believe effective immediately)

Same bloke who started the Murdoch Masila rumours has said Koroibete will be in Canberra after this weekend's test match.

From another site. The Ennis one has been floating around since the Dogs signed Liccha. De Gois to England doesn't surprise me and good riddance, can't stand the ****. John Morris retirement does surprise me but I guess maybe they didn't want to throw him another contract and there's no point changing clubs....again at his age.

Apparently Benji as at the Dragons league club atm, expected to finalise a contract today, I think it'll be a good signing for them.

Tasi Tasi --> Bulldogs

Just saw this, wow..

Ryan Hoffman to the Warriors in 2015, apparently

They have signed him on big $$$ and they are still making signings despite not having a coach for next season.

They could have a pretty nuts roster next season, I think they're still a Five-Eighth short from being a top 4 side, but they've got enough skill to easily be top 8..

1. Tomkins
2. Fisiiahi
3. Hurrell
4. Fusitua
5. Vatuvei
6. Leuluai
7. Johnson
8. Rapira
9. Friend
10. Matulino
11. Bukuya
12. Hoffman
13. Mannering (c)

14. Havili
15. Mateo
16. Lillyman
17. Lousi

I haven't been a big fan of Hoffman and the idea of him going to NZ when they already have a similar player in Mannering seems odd to me but it may just work out. I believe the Kiwis could do with somebody of Hoffman's work ethic and could use with the depth in the backrow.

However, they really need to sign a good dummy half and a centre.

3 year, $1.6mill deal...

Melbourne Storm forward Ryan Hoffman joins New Zealand Warriors on $1.6m deal | News.com.au

MELBOURNE Storm forward Ryan Hoffman has agreed to join the New Zealand Warriors next year on a lucrative three-year deal.

The 30-year-old is believed to have told his Storm teammates of his decision to leave the club where he has played 229 NRL games.
The experienced backrower – who debuted with Melbourne in 2003 – was offered a $1.6 million contract which Melbourne could not match.
Neither the Warriors nor Melbourne have yet confirmed the signing.
Hoffman has played his entire career at Melbourne, except for one year he spent in the UK Super League in the wake of the 2010 salary cap scandal.

The deal alleviates a salary cap squeeze at the Storm, who knew they could only retain two of Hoffman, Proctor and young gun Tohu Harris.
Harris, the 22-year-old New Zealand international, announced his re-signing on Wednesday morning, and with money freed up by Hoffman’s exit, Proctor now appears likely to stay at Melbourne under coach Craig Bellamy.
It’s understood St George Illawarra, New Zealand Warriors, Canberra and the Sydney Roosters have all made bids for Proctor.

On Harris, Melbourne football manager Frank Ponissi said: “Tohu is only in his second year of first grade and has already played some outstanding footy with us, with plenty more to come.”
“He is a player who really lets his action on the field do the talking. His signing is great news for Melbourne Storm for now and for the future.”

I think they've got the backs covered, but they could definitely use a top-tier hooker, if they could somehow land Isaac Luke they'd be a major team.

I don't think Fusitua, Nielsen, Laumape, Ropati or Henry are really the type of centre they need, especially if they want to compliment a Hurrell. They need a Reed type of centre, who's grounded but is going to compete for everything and isn't going to go search for the flashy or easy option.

Just read the Hoffman deal is worth over 500K a season. Jesus christ!

Reed for Fusitua straight swap, I'm down.

I'm not.

While I don't think Reed really fits with any of the Broncos long term plans and wouldn't be against a player swap, Fusitua is nothing more than a prospect. It could have some severe Farrar/Bani esque consequences.

So if you were offered Moga in a straight swap for Reed, you'd say no? I know Moga has had some injury issues and is still only a "prospect", but surely it's worth the risk, Reed at best is just a fill-in until a younger more athletic player stands up.
