NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2014

I haven't watched Moga play since his two knee reconstructions so I can't judge.

My point was that the Warriors need balance. They already have Konrad Hurrell there so they need another centre who can hold his end defensively and can do the 1%ers to off-set Hurrell's qualities and give him some competition.

That's what they thought they had in Nielsen but he really is another player who has been found out when leaving the storm.

I was going to mention Nielsen.

The problem with Dane Nielsen is that they had the right idea, but they chose the wrong player and on way too big a contract.

It's sort of like saying they tried Todd Lowrie, so they shouldn't bother signing another veteran backrow. They had the right idea, but they signed the wrong player and Lowrie was somehow an even poorer man's version of Luck.

Hoffman is a dud signing IMO. I think he does a good job in the storm system but for mine he's not really the player they need, at least in terms of skill set. Warriors don't lack gumption and football smarts, so a Michael Luck type player could definitely help, but even then I don't see Hoffman as being that. Agree with Pete too in that he is very Manneringesque.

As for Luke, maybe Souths really want to get hold of Korisau? I must confess that I rate Api quite highly and despite Luke's great skills he's still a dirty ****, so maybe they'd prefer to hold on to Korisau rather than Luke?

I'd be interested to get Mt Smart take on the Warrior's situation.

I know that the Warriors are notoriously slow starters and this is the stage of the season where they tend to build some momentum but if I was a fan, I'd be interested to see more players blooded.

In particular they have this forward playing for the Auckland Vulcans named David Bhana. I believe he captained their 2013 NYC side to a Grand Final and is the type of player who was famous for racking up the tackles and always fighting in a lot of tackles. If I was a Warriors fan, I'd like to see him groomed for a first grade position and maybe even selected in a few games to get a taste and stake his claim. Ideally, he's the type of player the Warriors would want locking the scrum. The only knock is that he's still adjusting to the demands of being a first grade player and that's always a turbulent stage of a player's career but I'd much rather see him in the starting line up than a Dominique Peyroux.

I also feel for Palavi and Ikahihifo. I could be mistaken, but I recall they were more fringe runners back in their NYC days and they've been forced into middle forward roles where they have yet to really stand out. While Sebastine deserves more time, I think his ideal position is on the fringes and is the type of player you want coming off the bench.

$500,000 a year for Hoffman is way to much for him. He is a very good player but I really doubt he is worth that much, I would offer him around $350,000 to $400,000 a year. The Warriors already have Mannering and Bukuya in the second row so I don't think Hoffman is the type of player they need. A consistent five-eighth and hooker is a must for them.

The Dragons are expected to announce the signing of Benji Marshall soon. That's a surprise I thought he was more likely to go to the Sharks.

It'll be interesting to see how he goes alongside Widdop

Wonder what will happen to Sam Williams.

Wonder what will happen to Sam Williams.

Was thinking the same thing.

He hasn't really cemented a spot at the Dragons alongside Widdop, so now that Marshall is there his prospects look even bleaker.

@TripleM_NRL: Sydney Roosters announce New Zealand Test prop Sam Moa signs two-year extension to remain with the club until end of the 2016 #NRL season

What's Mose Masoe doing?

Benji will be a great signing if he performs. The Dragons need some attacking power.

So Benji took the cash, I'm not surprised but it says a lot. He could have gone to a side with a genuine chance at GF in the next couple of years but he opted for $$$$$. I doubt we will see any better form, apart from a few glimpses, than before he left.
