Yep, If the monies there after a prop and some half depth, I'd be stoked to sign Hurrell.

Fifita would have been great at the Broncos.

I would have happily paid the money for a bloke that could break tackles and bend the line on a weekly basis. A prop with a bit of mongrel in him.

Heard from an assistant coach at club that looked into signing Benji that his match fitness is nowhere near first grade standard. Described him as "completely busted". This is said to be why he failed at his union endevour and why all clubs are highly reluctant to sign him.

He's been offered huge money by an English club and Cam Smith wants him at the storm.

Storm are such a good fit for him. They need a 5/8 and I would imagine he would thrive in a side where he doesn't have to organise jackshit with the structures they run and Cronk / Smith running the show. I think Slater would get a bit more space with Benji attracting more attention.
Also Benji would probably prefer a genuine shot at another premiership, it's the type of incentive he needs.

Benji has been claiming that he is fitter then ever. I guess he didn't realize just how unfit he was.

Since when do you need fitness in Yawnion? It's just man piles and penalties, with about 1 min of actual footy for every 10 that pass.

He most likely failed because it's a lot more technical, which doesn't suit him much.

Regardless, I was told he was fat and out of shape and that he'll struggle to get much attention.

I do know if it's fact, this is the romour thread after all.

With the international game that has some merit but not in super rugby. Show me a flyhalf in Australia union that is unfit

Kevin Proctor is apparently set to sign a 3 year deal with Roosters worth $500,000 a year...

Proctor for 500k? Ridiculous..

Storm are apparently chasing Chris McQueen as a replacement.

Has all the potential to be an Adam Blair pick up.

Proctor had a ton of hype about him back in 2007 or so but he's never lived up to it and honestly I fail to see how he's any better than Guerra or Aubusson.

I thought they were shedding players to pay Smith? They're just going to lose someone and replace him with a QLD Origin rep?

Terrible signing IMO

And your right, Procter was one of the 'we have to lose him for smith'. How can they afford McQueen if that's the case

Proctor has been pretty good this year but $500k is a lot. He could either grow another leg at another club or be a massive flop.

Melbourne have other players coming off contract too, among them include Ryan Hoffman & Matt Duffie, both of whom I'd be surprised if they re-signed on the same contracts that they're on freeing up some cash for McQueen.

I also don't think McQueen would be necessarily asking for Origin money. He may be a starting player, but only because he has a specific role and only for the time being. I'd imagine he wouldn't be expecting a lot of coin to play alongside a few of his Queensland team mates.
