NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2015

Daniel Vidot signs with Salford Red Devils, that wrestling career sure lasted long.

It's been stated many times that the wrestling won't start for a few years, after his next league contract...

Even though the Warriors are known for choking, I honestly dunno how you beat that team at full strength, the only "weakness" I can see is the bench, but it's still reasonable.

Dylan Walker to Manly and Chris McQueen to the Titans

Oh Titans. So predictable yet so frustrating. It's either talented yet raw young kids who can't step up, troubled players that'll never change, or ex-reps who are well on the decline. They should sign Anthony Watts when he gets out of jail. And Matt Lodge on a $500k 5 year deal.

You beat them due to their widely renowned poor work ethic and inability to play to the final whistle. They've got a great production line of physically talented young prospects, but seem to promote them before they can round out their game, particularly defensively.

Also, they really need to find a foil for Johnson who complements his strengths and weaknesses. I'm not sure they have that at present.

If they can instil the right culture and coaching structure that gets them to overcome this, then you're bang on. That team is absolutely world class.

Robert Lui. Nailed it.

What did he do this time? Hopefully you're speaking metaphorically and he hasn't literally nailed his partner to a wall or something of that ilk.

Yeah I agree about the production line of physically gifted, but stupid players.. But if you look at this team, there's really not many of those left in this team, they've recruited exceptionally. The only couple of guys in the team still susceptible to brain farts are probably Hurrell & Vatuvei. If they get Ivan Cleary (Looks likely at this point), he should be able to get them mentally prepared a lot better than previous coaches, it'll be a scary sight if they ever play to their potential and have a good coach.

He's done nothing new since the Tigers. Both with his off-field incidents and his rugby league performances.

Their defence (or, as Darryl Halligan loves to say, D) is atrocious at times, especially in the backs.

You can add Kata to that list too.

I do agree they've done well worth recruitment and their use of salary cap. They've spent well in the key positions (3 of 4 in the spine being world class) and have a good blend of proven campaigners and young prospects.

If they can ever get it all to fall into place, they'll be something to behold. That said, I'll believe it when I see it...

Word on the street (the street where you find sauce) is that there is just a culture of laziness at the Warriors. If you picture the hard edge, the no excuses, the no shortcut ethos at the Storm, in NZ it's the exact opposite. It's not surprising that they can beat anyone when things click but just turn to shit when some applies the blowtorch to them. I don't know if simply getting a disciplinarian coach is the answer though - it's a lifestyle thing there - that's not me broad-brushing kiwis, it's just how it's done. They'll need a complete system-wide overhaul to turn that around, so that they're the exception to the rule, where the thousands of talented kids know they need to work like a motherfuck and knuckle down if they're to get a chance there. Make it an institution.

They're the anti all blacks

It depends on who you're referring to exactly Morkels. If it's all Kiwis, then it fails to explain the All Blacks who are easily the best drilled side in the world and have been for well over a decade at this point. If it's just the Warriors, you may have a point. One of the interesting points Tate made in his book was the differences between the Broncos, Warriors and Cowboys. The latter two had a real DYI sense to pre-season where they could barely afford a decent pre-season camp or even get the water bottles set up. Tate wasn't bagging them or anything, just revealing the different mentalities and how the Broncos feel like a professional organisation on and off the field.

It's worth pointing out that all these transfers are just rumours at this stage. In fact, Pritchard has come out and denied the Warriors switch so it is what it is.
