It has been reported that the Panthers have reached out to the Knights to sign Young for this season as they will likely get salary cap dispensation because May was injured in the World Club Challenge which counts as a representative fixture apparently.

And this is part of the problem. Even if by some stroke of miracle they're NOT cheating the cap, the perception they are, is not only there but completely widespread throughout fans of the code. Everyone's seen the memes about the salary sombrero and you'd be hard pressed to find even a Rorters supporter who doesn't coyly admit "yeah it does seem a bit odd". Talk about bringing the game into disrepute...

But the administration doesn't care because controversy still gets eyes on the game. Any publicity is good publicity.

Leeds Rhinos hooker Kruise Leeming wants out of the Super League. Leeds are prepared to let him go if a deal can be struck. Leeming's manager has reached out to NRL clubs letting them know of his desire for a move.

also on the Super League / NRL front. the Knights are reportedly pressuring Wigan to release Kai Pearce-Paul early. so far Wigan aren't budging, they want to keep Pearce-Paul as they battle for the premiership.

From what I’ve seen of Leeds games, he is good. Great vision & plays heads up footy. Has a bit of toe as well. Defence is a bit meh, but again I haven’t seen every Leeds game to be a critic.
