South Sydney star Cody Walker has broken his silence on his involvement in an incident in December 2019 after the video at the centre of a blackmail scandal surfaced.

The Daily Telegraph reports Walker was recovering from shoulder surgery at the time

and was unable to use his arms as he attempted to separate two men in the middle of an alleged dispute.

It is hard to defend Bennett's handling of rosters in recent years. I still put 2015 down to his aura coming in as a honeymoon period and having guys like Parker and Hodges in the team. I admit at the time Boyd was a good signing in hindsight but that side was ready to make a shake at the title and Griffin had done 95% of the work to get them there. Bringing in Boyd and Blair worked out well too in fairness to Bennett. But, like Newcastle before, the Broncs went on a pretty quick downward spiral from there and what is happening at Souths isn't it really surprising. Though that said, it is surprising how fast it has happened this year.
