NRL Players and family members in hot water

De Belins case has been listed for retrial and moved to a Sydney court in April next year.
Still can’t play though.
Will still be paid by st George but now on reduced money.
Hopefully will get sorted this time.
I wonder how much he wishes he just stayed home with his pregnant wife and jumped on Pornhub?

Should have tried to pay her off like Hayne did in the US.
Might not have worked but worth a shot in hindsight.

De Belin isn’t the Michael Jordan of rugby league though. Wouldn’t have the money

The jury in the Hayne trial has retired to deliberate.
Something tells me this will not be a hung jury and they will come back with a decision.

The jury in Haynes case are struggling to get a unanimous verdict. They have been sent home for the weekend and will resume deliberations on Monday.

Yeah but is it Curtis Scott assaulting police or actually assaulting police.

I don't trust the police whatsoever.

Don't agree with you there broncsgoat, and you shouldn't make general statements about a particular group of people, lots of good policemen and women out there, do you remember the recent case involving office Brett Forte, got shot to death by a meth dealer, just because he was doing his job protecting the public, Brett and his Dad Senior Sergeant Stuart Forte taught kids how to defend themselves and about the dangers of drugs, in their own time mind you, and for no other reward then doing it, so their not all ***** I can assure you.

No not all, but enough are, and are backed up by the powers that be instead of trying to root out the shit ***** in the force.

Did you follow the Curtis Scott case at all? He was clear as day assaulted by police while he was sleeping, and then they charged him with multiple serious offences and only because he was a famous person who had the means to defend himself he managed to get off the charges.

What did the police cheif say about it all? That he fully understands the officer's actions instead of condemning it loudly and clearly.

So yeah, as long as we have heads of police like that, I'll re-iterate, police are *****.

“I genuinely think Mr Scott might have been safer if he had wandered onto the roadway and been hit by a car,” the magistrate said at Downing Centre local court on Friday. “He would at least have still had the free use of his hands, and being upright, would have got an ambulance much more quickly. He wouldn’t have been blinded for 20 minutes and wouldn’t have been electrocuted while lying handcuffed on the ground.”
The magistrate on Friday said it was “extraordinary” that the “faulty and unwarranted” NSW police case against Scott proceeded with no real prospect of success. “If that was to make some kind of point to the public at large, some kind of teaching moment, then Mr Scott should not be forced to fund his obligatory part in such an exercise,” she said.
On Thursday the magistrate dismissed the remaining matters, saying Scott had already experienced enough punishment and been made an example of. “Being capsicum-sprayed while handcuffed and not decontaminated for 19 minutes is much worse than any punishment I can inflict on you,” she said

I did read the Curtis Scott case, you are correct it was a pretty ordinary look for the police involved, we rarely hear about the good stuff they do through the media because its not sensational enough, I respect that everyone is entitled to their opinion but I won't play tennis with you on this one, to close to home for me

Another raider busted... Tom Starling.

Perhaps I have been sheltered, certainly never in trouble with the law, but I don't like the negativity towards our police. I am thinking for those who think they are terrible.. compared with what?

One of the benchmarks on the health of a country is the reliability of the police force, travel in a country where you can bribe them to get what you want and they need 'facilitation' to make a good living you might have a different perspective. A lot of the world is like that.

I grew up in Fitzgerald enquiry era Brisbane and understand an individual experience could be terrible, but I would lump criticism of the police in the same basket as the claim that Australia is a racist country. You can say that..
but compared with what?

Sorry, most police are ******
