I don't think anyone is discounting Patten's form Rock. We are just saying that NSW would be better served with Hayne at fullback and Brett Morris or Joel Monaghan on the wing

It's easy to look good amongst that Bulldogs team at the moment. Hell, I could be playing fullback for them and look awesome.
He's an average player. Very very average. Wade McKinnon is a better player than him...he's in shit form right now, but he's still way better than Patten.

Stating that I think Patten is nothing more than a good club player has nothing to do with me supporting QLD! I can see he's in good form, but it still doesn't mean he'd make a good origin player.
