NSW Team...

Agree with Coxy.

Every year I hear of this series being harder than ever for Queensland, and one of the big reasons is the Nsw back row. Well the game is won up front people and the two Queensland big men will get the job done. If Queensland happens to lose game 1 (HA!!!) then they won't make the same mistakes in games 2 and 3.

Oh and this talk of Queensland losing if they go into the game expecting to win is irrelevant. They are professional enough to realise not to take this Blues team as a walkover. They will prepare as if this is their biggest test yet.

Expecting to win and not having to put in any extra effort is what we're talking about...like NSW teams in the past that just turned up expecting to win not prepared to roll up their sleeves is why they lost, we want QLD to turn up hungry to win at all costs.

Can you honestly see them not putting in the extra effort though? They have the perfect opportunity to do something that's never been done, they will want to send Lockyer out a winner in the very likely event that this is his last series....they have so many reasons to put in the extra effort and I'm sure they'll do just that.

I hear what you're saying, but we did that last year in game 1. we just didnt look hungry for it. we usually offer up 1 really bad game a year where our line defence is slow and we dont look interested. hopefully we dont this year

Hmmmm, in a way you are correct there mate. However, I put that loss more down to no Price, no Lockyer/Prince, Hunt 5/8th, Webb & Lillyman in the team, Tate on the wing.

Good point Jeb. Most of the games Queensland really underperform in start with picking the wrong team, and everyone knew it.

This time I don't think you can argue with the team selections. Nothing jumps out as being a WTF moment.

And their first game with Bellamy at the helm they were always gonna fire up for. Then they started to stop them f**king around with the play the ball and their game plan went out the window [icon_lol1.

Too right. I mentioned earlier, most years you look at the team and go, wtf how did HE make it! This year I can safely say there is not one player who shouldn't be there. Last year was prime example, Lockyer out, Prince available soooooooo we pick Hunt!

First game last year came down to not having Steve Price. That 1-2 punch with Civo and Price is of infinite value.

I am 90% sure we will win we match them all over the park and usually better them. My only concern is marker defense, Farah is insanely good out of dummy half so are Jennings and Hayne and if Civo, Price, Myles, Thaiday and Hannant get caught stranded and slow off the mark we could be in strife. We need 100% commitment and quality at marker because I see it as the only place NSW could really lump some points on us from.

any one see goose gould trying to subliminally coach the blews last night on the footy show?

sadly he had some good points to make.

He always does that. And then he bags them during the game when they aren't using his game plan! LOL

Game 2 changes:

Barrett in for Campese. David Williams in for McManus. Glenn Stewart in for Laffranchi. Fatmough in for Bailey.

1. Gidley
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Lyon
5. Williams
6. Barrett
7. Wallace
8. Kite
9. Farah
10. Weyman
11. Creagh
12. O'Donnell
13. Gallen

14. Wing
15. Poore
16. Stewart
17. Fatmough.

With three shadow players who will play for the their teams over the weekend. Morris (forgot which one), Learoyd-Lars and Monaghan.

2 front rowers and Kite with a light bench. Cant see this game turning into a grind

Side is even worse than last time's. Can't believe Campese has been dropped - he is the future. It's not his fault Wallace had such a bad game and did not give him any decent ball. And yeah, Wallace is incredibly lucky.

I thought Campese was terrible and should of been dropped. I think it's a "stronger" side than last time with McManus and Campese gone and Gallen back in the team.

They could have gone for a cooper, hayne and the morris brothers in the back line as well as finding some prop forwards
