NSW Team...

I think the team is a good one but if they lose and Barrett has a shocker where does that leave them.
The selectors seriously don't have a clue, going for a youth policy then panic sets in after the first loss on the basis they need more experience.

Wallace was lucky to hold his spot he has been woeful since the first SoO.
Farah looked like he has done a rib cartilidge, I hope he plays if thats the case they are really painful even if you do get needled, it will affect his game.
Hayne looked injured last night as well, couldn't stretch out when he needed to, and he is one player who doesn't play well with pain (unlike Farrah).

If they lose I am looking forward to the fallout between the selectors and the coach I can't see Bellyache putting his hand up to take the blame.

Was he injured though or just having a game similar to the ones he was having at the start of the year when he was getting booed by his own supporters? I'm not convinced he hadn't just given up on the game last night and was playing accordingly. He was caught out of position so many times when the tigers put kicks into the in goal, just looked like he had no idea where he was and like he didn't really care anyway.

Yeah that crossed my mind too he has form for doing that, but he did start with strapping on his left thigh, maybe he was just protecting himself for the rep stuff.

Good things for QLD are -
- No Cooper
- No B Morris (who IMO is in better form than his brother)
- Wolfman is in and will get dominated
- Lyon is still there
- Watmough is in

Good things for Broncos are -
- No Barrett or Gallen for the game on Monday night

Next week will be a good week for Broncos fans icon_thumbs_u

Picking Wolfman reeks of Steve Turner last year. 2nd game, inexperienced, on Inglis' side of the field.

Watmought is useless at rep level, and Cooper really would have caused our attack problems.

I actually think Wolfman deserves his spot, he's one guy I think is built for Origin, and his combination with Lyon is probably why they're both in there. I am however extremely glad they haven't picked Matt Cooper.

14th halves combination since 2004 LOLZNSWSELECTORCOPTORZFAILZ.

I'm sure Neil Henry will have Johnson protecting Lockyer, since they've selected all left side attacking 2nd rowers. Not half obvious who they'll be targetting. Lol, again, I lol.

While they target Lockyer, Thurtson will be feeding Inglis and Boyd all night

He was definitely injured. He played on the wing for most of the 2nd half, and was slow to the ball many times. The commentators mentioned it looked like a flare up of a recurring injury.

The panel after the game though were wondering if he just gave up, especially on that chase when Farah scored. If he's injured fair enough, but it wouldn't be the first time Hayne has played with a lot less than 100% effort, and if he wasn't badly injured enough to come from the field, he should have been fit enough to at least put in a bit of a chase.

It is a recurring injury. A torn heartilage.

That's pretty much what I thought Coxy. It's an injury that's plagued him his entire career, must be so frustrating for him.....

Gus & co were discussing on MMM last night about the Eels and how in the hell it is a team that is at the max of it's Salary Cap threshold. They listed the players Cayless, Hindmarsh, Finch etc and how those 3 players would be eating up the salary cap...but they neglected to mention Hayne. I dare say he's the main Salary Cap void on the Eels books.

And guys, one must have heart to have torn heartiledge.

He has a heart the size of a pea.

He's a criminal anyway = oxygen thief

I am SO over people saying "How does this and that club stay under the cap". Do you SERIOUSLY think that any club in the NRL would be dodging things up, especially after the 2002 Bulldogs scandal? Seriously? These things get checked all the time, it would be close to impossible to rort the salary cap.

Me thinks he doest protest too much

Absolutely. It's impossible to fudge the salary cap. The NRL auditors can always find out. There's no way to hide it.

Kind regards,
Bulldogs 2002 (who had successfully rorted the cap for 3 years and the NRL were none the wiser until someone ratted them out)

DUDE, Daniel Anderson (he coaches the Parramatta Eels fyi, and I dare say he knows how much money is spent under the salary cap) said recently that the Eels had no Salary Cap left, then they went and signed Poore & Shackleton.

Gus & Co were wondering where all the money went and came up with Hindmarsh, Cayless and Finch as the main 3 culprits...

I was pointing out that Jarryd Hayne is probably another one on big bucks at the Eels.

Inu would've got an upgrade after playing Test footy in 2007 too.
