I really can't see the hype about this Boland fellow. Had a big show against WA and now he is next in line for everything. At least 1910 got pwned.

Not one genuine express pace bowler over 140+ at the WACA. That's unheard of and no wonder our bowlers copped a hiding. Boland is also average to say the least and his first class record indicates that aswell. Would rather have had Richardson, Siddle, or Bollinger in front of both Paris and Boland.

david warner wont continue to play the odi series with family issues that means usman khawaja will come in also mitch marsh will be rested for the next odi with john hastings filling in for him

You should have stopped at Richardson because suggesting Siddle and Bollinger is just laughable. Paris has a superb 50 over record in domestic cricket but has been bowling poorly in the BBL and Boland is bowling well but he got found out bowling at the death to genuine batsmen which happens.

It might just be me but when you say "family issues" it makes it sound a lot more dramatic than it actually is . Warner and Candice are expecting their second child any day now so essentially he is just taking paternity leave.

I'm actually happy that Khwaja gets a chance to show his worth in this format and I'm fairly confident he won't let us down. Definitely need to reshuffle that bowling lineup too.

I rate Paris but he isn't ready yet, I would have picked Behrendorff ahead of him. I get the feeling Boland will be the new Mick Lewis, selectors see something no one else does and he will probably get found out pretty quickly.

Agree with all of this.

None of those guys would fix your 140 plus assessment.

It was interesting that the things Boland got picked for; he's been great at the death of the BBL games and been hitting his yorkers brilliantly 6 wickets in four games didn't come out much yesterday. He's got a good record at the WACA too 7/31 there a few weeks ago.

I don't think the attack around him helped too much; Paris on debut, Faulkner, Maxwell, Hazlewood and Marsh. Not a lot of experience or assistance there. First time we've had two debutants since 2013.

You get Boland and Paris in and around Starc and Cummins and things might change.

Boland has been good in the BBL but his Yorker bowling at the death was to the lower order batsmen which makes a fair difference IMO.

Would prefer to have Faulkner and Behrendorff though in that senario at this point in time. I'm not as sold on Pattinson in the short format as others I guess but I just don't see much in Boland. Paris on the other hand I see a lot but he is still very raw at this stage.

game two in the odi series on today at the gabba my predictions are

usman 100
george bailey 50
glen maxwell 50

john hastings 4/40

man of the match usman khawaja

Tell you one thing, the batsmen would not to have too many failures in a row given how much competition there is for spots at present.

change that usman khawaja isnt playing shaun marsh is

latest

yeah idk i really like shaun marsh but i believe usman khawaja is in such rare form he has to be playing

Finally figured out who Sharma reminds me of, Inzamam-Ul-Haq.
