The Raiders have massive issues and a cultural problem.
Name any other club that has had to sack (fire) their 3 best players because the club couldn't manage them?

And your answer to fix the club problems is to prove that 1 player 'IS' in fact bigger than the organisation?

If you think this will create anything other than envy and discontent you're kidding yourself.

"It's important we start together as one. You don't need individuals; you need to be as a group and that's something we'll work towards before Christmas.
"We want a nice strong bond. We need individuals to perform on game day but as group we want to be together."

From Ricky Stewart. Twat! As if offering Milford a rediculous contract is about brining everyone together as one. It's only going to create further division! Canberra do not learn....

So the updated TL; DR is contract talks on hold until after the end of the World Cup, and not 1 November?

Exactly they haven't done themselves any favors here even if they do keep him because it will create more problems for the club within, at least the Bulldogs came to their senses that if they had kept Barba at the club the tension between him and the other players would have been toxic and damaging for the club in coming seasons, it was dead obvious the players didn't want him there in their last two games.

The atmosphere at the Dogs between Barba and the players was toxic long before then, try the start of the year.

And with the way things are being handled with the Raiders club and an off season for tensions, resentment and distaste at how its been handled to grow within not just towards Milford but those who are only making the situation worse it's hardly going to take long for things to go that way too.

How this will go down.
The Broncos will put a more than fair offer on the table.
They will say, here's your chance to come home, take it or leave it.

And he'll either sign with us or take the million.

Then we'll know his true intentions about the homesickness. Or if this was all about money.

Mate you're assuming the resentment etc, I could say the same thing is happening at the Broncos that a rookie is set to become their highest paid player, fact is we don't know the players attitudes towards the situation from either club.

Barba and Milford different scenarios, Milf looked happy playing there this year and the players looked like they enjoyed him being there.

If there's resentment at either club the players need to wake up to themselves, it's professional sport where the best get paid the most.

Basically the only significance of Nov 1st is its the start of each years contract
It's also the date a new contract for the season after next can be registered with the NRL. If Milford and the Broncos announce the contract tomorrow and both agree to void the rnd 13 clause, I fear what's left of sanity at the Greenhouse will evaporate!

And before you or your GH acolytes like this Greeneyed fellow (whom apparently likes to comment a lot about BHQ and its posters), start another tantrum about the big bad Broncos, remember your place: In the NRL pond, we're the Apex predator... you're the sardine!

And if you ever get a board and management with a clue, who actually decides to show their teeth on the market when things go pear-shaped like they went for the Broncos in the last year, come and talk to us again... but only after you cleaned up the mess of everyone creaming themselves at the GH please!

I like how the whole of the GH have coincidently forgotten to notice how Don Furner has changed what he has said about Milford leaving.

A couple of weeks ago he was saying that the Raiders have the full support of the NRL.

In his last article he says he hopes the NRL support them..

!
Everyone's 99.9% sure he's gone anyway mate so it'd be more of a relief than anything to have it 100% confirmed.

Yeah, I don't really see anyone throwing that kind of money at him this early on in his career, unless they are like... Ricky Stuart or something.
