Or they're putting pressure on the Raiders to make it clear they're still going hard for him, and want him for 2014. I'm just playing Devil's advocate.

It's interesting that there have now been several photos with him and vidot together, already bonding with his future team mates?
 
The Raiders are really setting him up to fail.
It's like Gareth Bale going to Madrid for $140 million. He'll never be able to live up to it.

And what will his next contract be? $2 million a season?

This is not only a massive risk for the Raiders, but for Anthony too.

Can't imagine the playing group being happy knowing a person who has said he wants to go home, doesn't want to play for the club, gets offered $1 million a season when the people in the senior leadership group aren't on half that much and are fighting to get re-signed.

We are not talking about the Australian captain, or someone with the marketability of SBW.

He's a rookie who hasn't even played an entire season.

No wonder Ricky Stuart tears apart clubs.

Even the $600k the Broncos have offered is crazy high for a rookie.

Who do we have on our books who would be close to $600k? Maybe Thaiday? Maybe Parker? Even JYY who was a QLD and Australian star is only on $350k?

DCE and Foran had won a premiership together, and there were still eyebrows raised when Manly signed them to $500k and $600k deals respectively.

They're friends from Souths Acacia Ridge, they both played for the same junior club and are from the same area.

The senior leadership group can get fucked as far as most fans believe, apart from Fensom they've talked way too much and performed way too little, they'd be lucky to deserve even half of what Milford does.

Keep talking about the effect on the playing group and I acknowledge its a risk but also one for the Broncos if a rookie suddenly becomes your highest paid player
 
Hannant is believed to be the top paid player under the cap of our at 4-450k. No way will we pay 600. Maybe on a two year deal but not for one year

It doesn't matter how shit the senior leadership or other players form is. The fact is that they're a part of the team and have an influence.

They managed to get their coach sacked and made Ferguson have to leave the club.

Yes it's a risk for the Broncos, but they will not sign him for anything near $1M.
When have the Broncos ever paid massive overs?
And we have a far stronger club culture than the Raiders.
