[OFFICIAL] Anthony Milford to Broncos

I think only one person did mate, but as others have mentioned if the articles true and you guys sign him on significantly less it should draw the attention of the cap auditors, a few parallels to when the Roosters had supposedly already had Dugan signed sealed and delivered.

Market value is defined by a rational view of player worth.

Not based on 1 clubs idiotic inflated value.

Do you truly believe that the NRL will force a valuation of Anthony at the same price as the elite players. Inglis, Thurston, Smith, Cronk, DCE etc. ??

When. His current contract is only $180k?
He is a rookie, and has only played 18 games.

By your logic, any player who wanted to leave a club could have their value inflated simply by a ridiculous contract bid from the host club?

I don't think so.

Are you comparing Josh Dugan, a SOO regular to a 19 yr old rookie who hasn't cracked 25 nrl games yet? I think you're all delusional

Geez mate did I say I was the one person, FTR I agree but I also see that if you offer him say $400k less it might draw the attention of the auditors that something mightn't be above board

DCE and Foran are considered two of the best halves in the game (and still relatively young). Both internationals. Both have won premierships.
And DCE is an Origin player.

DCE is on $500k
Foran is on $600k

If Manbush thinks the NRL will value Milford as double the value of these two, he is cracked out of his head.

FMD, the comparison is the way this is being played out, both players basically already signed sealed and delivered and a huge offer appears in the press possibly to draw the attention of the cap auditors.

FTR when Roosters almost had Dugan he was also a rookie

no ... Milford signing for the Broncos for significantly less (especially if it is still 400-600k) will prove that he wants to be home with his family. By your logic the cap auditors will be busy ATM, investigating the Sharks for re-signing Carney (given that both the Warriors and Panthers offered far more) and the Cowboys for holding onto Thurston (despite the Panthers and i think Eels offering far more.) the Cowboys also held onto Matt Scott for less than he was offered elsewhere.

Wow dude where the **** have I said that, stop making shit up

besides the fact Bushman, the Raiders have denied offering him 1 million,

Agreed. Even equal to those 2 is absurd. They are basing their opinion of his worth on his potential (which is unknown), not on how good he is currently.

Were they offered double elsewhere? It might prove as you say but it would warrant being looked at closer.

Seriously, why would the NRL care about an offer that is not legally binding?? Why would they care about a draft contract that is not signed and has nothing to do with the player??

Do you hear yourself?
The NRL is more likely to investigate the Raiders for stupidity if they try to register a contract worth $1M a season for him.

The Carney situation wasn't double (but neither is Milford if those figures are to be believed) but it was a similar margin.

signed with the Sharks for about 700k, offered around 1 million to go to the Panthers, i actually think the Warriors offer was more too

Mate following the Raiders for years you learn if they say one thing it's generally guaranteed to be the opposite, compulsive liars to the media unfortunately. Ricky Stuart signing was the latest, they denied approaching throughout the press, Gavel pushing it until the very last second when he signed.

So with Cam Smith coming off contract. If the Eels offer him $3million a season, your telling me that if the Broncos or Storm sign him for less that the NRL will investigate?

Hahahahahaha... Wow.
If they sign him for almost half then yes they should

So you think the contract that Milford has actually signed ($180k) has no bearing on value. And an imaginary one drafted by Raiders (that he hasn't signed) is what will determine his value?

Do you know how stupid you sound?
Not as stupid as someone who continues to resort to making up false arguments
