Who has expressed outrage and why should we give a ****. This is a professional industry not a school yard
Dogs and Malny are two others. Mate I wasn't having a go at ya's I was just pointing out things are seen differently depending on perspectives, Broncos fans obviously see nothing wrong with their activities but that doesn't mean fans from other clubs don't

"
It is understood the Eels are prepared to self-report to the NRL if they uncover any evidence of salary cap infringements."

How generous of them.

Can you please tell me what the Broncos have done wrong?

Clubs are allowed to give an expression of interest at any point in time.

Milford had homesickness issues long before there was any talk of the Broncos, & before he signed his current contract.

The only way the Broncos would have found out about Milford's clause is through Ayoub telling them. That type of information wasn't public knowledge, and the Raiders sure as shit wouldn't have leaked it.

Do you actually think that the Broncos are FORCING players to break contracts?

Andrew Gee: "I know you're happy at your current club, but you HAVE to break your current contract and play for us next year, or else"

Wake up mate.

Perhaps the Broncos are still an appealing team to be apart of?

The Barba situation - he had a major falling out with the players and the club. Long before any mention of the Broncos.

Kennedy - was released to keep SBW and reduce cap pressure.

Who have the Broncos forced to break a contract?

It's not illegal for the Broncos to say to Ayoub "if Anthony Milford becomes available, we would certainly be interested in his services".

the broncos have certainly taken advantage of a few situations. which i have no problem with.

Undoubtably.

But clubs always take advantage of situations. Negotiations are never as transparent as people would like, and never will be.

The Dragons took advantage of a falling out between Dugan and the Raiders.

The Sharks took advantage of the fact both Penrith and the Tigers needed to free up cap space.

The Roosters took advantage of Maloney wanting to come home, and just signed a young prop who walked out on a Super league deal.
But there's no outcry about how the Roosters force players to break contracts?

And there is another club around the corner ready to take advantage of the Ferguson situation.

It's in the Fabric of the game.

The argument you keep regurgitating is getting as boring as I find Canberra, you can only see the Mint and War Memorial for so long and then you either look for a road out or a pub. No wonder the players go off the rails down there.
Unfortunately you are now causing our forum to go around in circles. At the start I enjoyed your contribution but now I have heard it so many times
If you wish to join the Manly and Dog forums and bitch about us please feel welcome otherwise go back to the cabbage patch or whatever your HQ is called and only come back when you have something new to say or preferably never!

Wighton just extended till end of 2016 so he can't be too pissed at the Milf fiasco, loved this quote from him, his pops obviously a man of honor and integrity.

Wighton said. “I made a phone call to my Pop and he gave me some advice in that I should remain loyal to the team that gave me a chance to start my career and I took that on board as well.”

A 20 year old, 2nd year, claiming loyalty is the main driving reason he's staying at his rookie club and not convenience or lack of other offers.

These sports managers know how to get these kids (and, evidently, Raiders fans) believing their own hype.

Another cheap shot dig at Milford.

I'm presuming that the Raiders have had to offer both Wighton and Lee fairly large contracts to ensure they re-sign before establishing market value.
Both were gaining significant interest from rival clubs.
Whether the intention is to stay or not, it's pretty general form for player managers to field offers from rival clubs for perception.

You would think contracts in the vicinity of $300-450k each.

Fascinating info in an Anthony Milford thread on a Brisbane Broncos board.

Got any info on what Glen Buttriss is up to?

Wightons pop is unlike the brisbane broncos who with milfords agent have concocted a scheme to get him some more cash.

honestly, as a raiders fan, I dont blame the roosters for carney, dont blame the dragons for dugan and dont blame whomever for ferguson.

But with Milford it is clear as day that Angela Gee has deliberately gone out of her way to scheme milford into breaking his contract.

I never really liked the broncos prior to this due to their monopoly on brisbane and insistence on same to the detriment of league in general but this sort of garbage is very bad for the raiders and very bad for rugby league and to be honest even if milford ends up at the broncos I dont see a bloke who has the vision of a peanut changing the direction of the club.

Considering he's regarded as one of the best young talents in the comp a lack of offers wouldn't have been an issue.

I was sure he was gone so retaining him severely lessens the blow of losin Milf

Milford should really get a new agent, i mean who wants more cash??

About as interesting as reading that Wighton has re signed.

What a viscious intelligent insult, implying Andrew Gee is a female, the horror

Yes this is very very bad for Rugby League, the Broncos are practically destroying the game, i mean, its not only just the Raiders supporters who give a shit about Milford. Souths supporters are organising a march through Redfern again to stop this shameful act.
