I dont think you get it.

It's not whether or not milford stays with the raiders or not. It is how your dirty club went about about poaching him.

Its so dirty the club is now releasing press releases saying all this stuff is speculation and has nothing to do with them.... the club is doing whatever it can to be successful again right now, im thinking like how zoolander felt when his blondie wrote a story on him...

ie no matter how many lives you crush etc etc etc.

Thats fine admit for what it is, we are a ruthless club who will break whatever rule exists so long as we end up being successful. We dont care how much we **** over rugby league so long as we are succesful.

There is so much smoke.

Please enlighten me with what rules we have broken?

And how reuniting a homesick kid with his family, ruins so many lives?

1. Expressing interest isn't breaking the law.

2. It's not the Broncos fault that Milford has a release clause.

3. It's not the Broncos fault Milford has a crafty manager.

4. It's not the Broncos fault that the Raiders lack leadership, direction and common sense.

its not about who approached who its 2013 everyone approaches everyone,
Its the homesickness garbage by milford and his manager that has been perpetuated by the brisbane broncos football club. It is pathetic.

If the broncos had an ounce of integrity they would dig into their broncos and offer cash to the raiders like a transfer fee and not bother with this bullcrap story, and if the raiders say no wait until after nov 1 offer him a contract for 2014, he signs everyone moves on.

But no they peddle garbage.

Can you please provide me the links from the Brisbane Broncos football club that were perpetuating the Anthony Milford homesickness?

Honestly, i missed them and am keen to read them.

The exact same thing applies to the Raiders when they got Stuart. But then they also forced Papalii to stay after he signed with the Eels and are now trying to keep Milford against his will. So if the Broncos are scum, what does it make the Raiders?

Don't you think the broncos wanted to do that?
The whole reason this has stretched out is because the Raiders wouldn't come to the table about the release.
3 months ago if the Raiders had of sat down with the Broncos and said "Milford is looking at leaving, what will you offer us" this would have been settled in a week.

But the broncos have had to wait now till November 1st, where they can sign/openly talk to him, to get the Raiders to play ball about a transfer fee.

Milford has consistently said he wants to leave. Through various mediums.

But Don Furner says, "no, re-sign".

No wonder the whole saga has gone in a circular direction.

Come on baby bear ,put your toys back in the cot. It's time for your afternoon nap.

The Broncos will happily pay a transfer fee to get him for 2014.

The issue is the Raiders are the ones who have to instigate these talks.

The same as with Barba.
The Broncos had to wait until the Bulldogs CEO called before they could start talking.

We wouldn't be in this situation if there wasn't a clause in the contract. End of story. Raiders fans can bitch & moan as much as they like, but this has all come about because Milford wanted to keep the possibility of going home as an option, and the Raiders agreed to it. They didn't have to. Blame your club for allowing a clause that they didn't intend to honour.

the fact of the matter is that the Bulldogs management are SMARTER than the Raiders management.

the Bulldogs knew there was little chance they could keep Barba, so they went to the Broncos to try and get some cash of us (which they did)

There appears little chance that Milford will stay at the Raiders past 2014, yet all Furner is saying is "we will be trying to extend his contract". since the chances are low that Milford will re-sign with the Raiders, their management should have followed the Bulldogs lead. especially if it does become a legal battle and it is ruled Milford has a legitimate get out clause he can activate and then all the Raiders will get is egg on their face and not a cent from the Broncos

I'm over caring what other people think about the Broncos. It's obvious we are always in the wrong and we can never win.

so How about we sign whoever we like and you can go back to watching your shit team play in a shit city and you can suck our balls while watching Milford play on Free to air TV every Friday night in a maroon and gold jersey.

6 weeks in Europe, once in a 5 year period, to play in a World Cup is not the same as living permanently in another city away from your family.

Get real.

Are you suggesting, that in order to prove his genuineness to you, his family should have forced him to sit in Brisbane (or in your world, Canberra) playing FIFA and going to church? Sure, that makes sense.

Considering he's regarded as one of the best young talents in the comp a lack of offers wouldn't have been an issue.

I was sure he was gone so retaining him severely lessens the blow of losin Milf

Have to agree with that, the kids got talent and I doubt there was a shortage of suitors. I know a few people who think he'll play Origin.

I love how fans react..

Player is playing for their club, no news of changing.
"We have one of the best and most exciting young players!"
Rumours of said player wanting out of the club emerge.
"Bullshit, this is his home now, he doesn't want to leave."
Rumours have some substance.
"F*CK the player, he's trying to screw us over and disrespect us!"
New info about player re-signing with the club.
"I knew he'd never leave, you're all just jealous and making shit up!"
Player says he wants out.
"Everyone is screwing us! His manager/other clubs are brainwashing him!"
Player refuses to continue playing for original club.
"Well f*ck him, he wasn't any good anyway!"

Oh so true

Monopoly, Defined as: the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.

Every single NRL club has scouts in Brisbane, constantly taking talent away from the state.

This is no monopoly.

How then did the Raiders end up with Edrick, Brenko, Mago, Bateman, Milford and Papalii?

Shhhhhh, you're ruining it!!!

The whole monopoly thing is a myth these days.

The underlined, love it

On the bold, I have no doubt we'd happily pay a transfer fee if you guys let us. We aren't the ones talking about paying 1mil a season. The ones keeping this going are you guys tbh with statements from Stuart, Furner and co.

.....but that's different....

My like button is broken but this!

Milford should counter-claim against the Raiders for breach of contract (for failing to honour the termination clause) and loss of earnings because he is denied the opportunity to play for the Broncos on higher $.

Having the right to walk out back to Brisbane whenever he wanted obviously meant enough to Milford to have it as a condition in his contract before he signed in 2012. The Raiders are the ones who are culpable, turning around now, after they induced him to sign in 2012 by inserting this clause, and refusing to release him, knowing they can build leverage from that because the NRL won't register his contract in 2014 if he just walks out.

[RUMOUR] Anthony Milford to Broncos

Wightons pop is unlike the brisbane broncos who with milfords agent have concocted a scheme to get him some more cash.

honestly, as a raiders fan, I dont blame the roosters for carney, dont blame the dragons for dugan and dont blame whomever for ferguson.

But with Milford it is clear as day that Angela Gee has deliberately gone out of her way to scheme milford into breaking his contract.

I never really liked the broncos prior to this due to their monopoly on brisbane and insistence on same to the detriment of league in general but this sort of garbage is very bad for the raiders and very bad for rugby league and to be honest even if milford ends up at the broncos I dont see a bloke who has the vision of a peanut changing the direction of the club.

If he has the vision of a peanut why are you upset about possibly losing him?

I am glad there is a broncos fan out there who has finally picked up on his dad not being so sick to stay away from playing for samoa in the world cup.

The next question is which is a bigger opportunity / life decision.

Who is saying anything about permanetly living in canberra, just stay for the entirety of your contract, if you think you have a right to rescind use it. In fact why hasn't he rescinded his contract already? Explain that to me broncos fans if he can just walk out on the contract why hasn't he?

he is welcome to.

Why would the raiders approach the broncos regarding a transfer fee, if milford has the right to shit can his contract for nothing? the club would open discussions just to get rejected.

If the broncos wanted milford and to go about it properly they should have approached the raiders with their offer instead of this homesickness concoction.

If the broncos werent involved in the homesickness concoction why is everyone posting on here.
