Maybe Bennett purposely delayed the signing, now every fan is more pissed off about Blair signing than Boyd. Less pressure on Boyd for next year :lol:

Well yeah its clear enough to assume so. I mean he only signed a three year contract. Since it'll be Bennett's last contract, it will also be Boyd's last contract. :laugh:

I personally don't know what will happen there, but I think Bennett will likely stay at the Broncos in some sort of role, which would allow Boyd to stay as well as he'll still be close enough to Wayne.

Ultimately, I'm just going to view Boyd's signing with an open mind. A good pre-season can do wonders for plenty of players, and Boyd should be no exception. Now that he's finally got his future sorted out in a city 1000 km away from the Sydney media that he detested so much, this is a new beginning for him. As they say, a change is as good as a holiday.

I'd wait and see to see how Boyd clicks with the rest of the team. He may not fit in straight away, but if he's formed good combinations with the rest of the spine by Round 10, we'll be just fine.

I don't think it's necessarily Bennett's last contract. He said it's his last club, that's all.

I don't think there's any doubt that he'll retire in 3 years if Bennett does. He clearly doesn't want to be coached by anyone else.

I can not wait to see what happens in 2015. I personally think we will have a good year. Team Balance alone will see it so. We will have probably the two most explosive free playing half's playing off Parker and Blair. offload forwards, something we have fell short on apart form parker for the last 3 years. So nothing but good. we will have Gavet ( M.Lang 2.0) and Garbutt charging the field. True competition amongst forwards and backs positions. My opinion. I really do not care what any forum super coach thinks because most is swayed by pure agenda.over...over ...over ...again. It is borderline hilarious what is going on in these forums. Barba shit all year and mostly hated, sold (NOW LOVED), Hoggman total shit for most of the year and selfish player, Sold (Now Loved and worth keeping). Kennedy total shit, big head, pillow, overated and soft (better then most including international Blair and worth the gamble) does not matter that he never showed up to play, never ran hard, never tackled hard or looked for a split fucking second that he loved playing in the broncos jersey. not to mention he was out of here the fucking second that a challenge was put forth by Wayne, the same goes for Barba. I am looking forward to 2015. I am in the UK so I am probably going to the Wigan game so I will let everyone know how Boyd goes if 1st grade squad actually plays here. I think the Broncos will do well next year. If I can watch games next year and not think we will lose because we are only up by 18 points at half time I'll be happy!

I am obviously pretty disappointed with the Boyd signing. At the very start I said I was off the Broncos if they signed Boyd. I'll be sticking to my word even though I look like a tool belt. I won't have another team and I'll still follow the Broncos players but I won't be Passionate about the Broncos like I have been in the past. I fully expect the Broncos to win a Premiership or 2 in the next few seasons. Boyd adds good experience to the spine and with Hunt and Milford in the halves anything is possible.

I don't like him. He is a P of S. The Broncos didn't need a fullback but of course they had to sign the turkey. Not happy with the clubs decision to bring Bennett back. Not happy with anything Bennett has done since returning. Pretty much sick of the club and am having a break.

What makes him a piece of shit in your opinion. I'm close with some people who have an intellectually challenged daughter, and Boyd did a bunch of charity work where she went, I think it was at multicap but not entirely sure. From all accounts he was a fantastic guy, was great with all the people there plus the staff and parents and looked like he was genuinely interested and happy to be there as opposed to just doing his scheduled time and bolting for the exit asap.

He may be the greatest fullback who ever played the game, or the worst. He may be a fantastic rep player or just a spud who is lucky to be outside Thurston and Inglis. We may have needed him like never before or he may have talked Wayne into hiring him. That can be all debated until the cows come home and I don't really care anymore. But I just can't understand what makes Boyd a piece of shit, can you provide some more info?
